Is it worth it? A medical view of ethanol s effects.
I found this interesting article on the effects of ethanol on the brain using brain scan. It looks at the different regions of the brain with pictures and even describes the nutrient deficiencies or toxicity due to years of exposure. Even one a day over many years can cause holes in brain scans and nutrient efficiency causing disease and symptoms. .

The brain’s capacity to return to “normal” following long-term sobriety is unknown. Short-term (6 weeks) abstinence seems sufficient to observe some brain-volume recovery but does not result in equivalent brain volumes between recovering chronic alcoholics and healthy controls (Mann et al. 2005). It is difficult to determine whether recovery is complete. Aging is a factor. That is, older alcoholics exhibit reduced capacity for recovery compared with younger alcoholics (Fein et al. 1990; Munro et al. 2000; Reed et al. 1992; Rourke and Grant 1999). Longer periods of abstinence may be required for follow-up investigations. Some brain damage, such as neuronal loss (Harper 2007), may be irreversible, even with extended abstinence.

Food for thought!? The remembering of what was know and clear to our ancestors.
The using of all beans, nuts and seed of a plant should only be used as medicine and/or for short durations.
Seeds, nuts, beans are the babies of the plant kingdom and the plant puts alot of effort into protecting there lineage to insure its survival. This part of the plant is highly problematic for humans to consume for a few reasons. Even with proper preparation such as fermenting, sprouting and cooking them the consequences it will cause to us in the long term are grand and lead to deficiencies in the body; which then those deficiencies lead to disease.

All Plants are filled with there own brand of anti-nutients and pesticides this is to insure their long term survival. So, some parts of plants are safer in short durations for humans to consume then other parts of the plant. The consumption of the reproductive part of the plant that can grow another plant is problematic for long term use . It causes stealing of vital nutrients and minerals from our diet. Their presence in our diets makes other vital nutrients and minerals not bio-available anymore. All plants have protections because they cannot run away like an animal can. All life competes for space, balance and harmony on this planet and plants are no different. Our planet is a smart very complex eco system. It must be remembered, respected and understood to make survival and thriving posible, or to correct imbalances we have caused in our body by the over consumption of specific things and under consumption of others. Our ancestors knew this threw experience and trial and error. (Forgotten wisdom passed down) Nature teaches us this by have a season and a time for everything. Aim to eat seasonal, local, and nutrient dense foods. Just because we want to eat something doesn't mean we should. A super food may be super tasty, convenient or high in certain things inside of it but it may also be super toxic also in the long term. You know what a true super food is? It is one where it's benefits truly out way it's consequences and where human life and health thrives.
Here is one plant anti nutrient (phytic acid) there are many many more. Lectins, oxilates and so on. It is important to ask yourself questions like- What is a proper human diet? What is not and why? What did our ancestors eat when they thrived or were starving? How did they prepare thing and why? And, what happens to human heath when we consume the wrong things?
Look around at society, do we look like we are healthy and thriving? Who told us to eat all these so called foods we eat today and why?

🖨️ Print post Phytic acid is one of a number of “anti-nutrients” in grains and legumes. For an introduction to this subject, please see this article. Proper preparation […]
