I have tried to put words together for this goodbye and any time I tried I got overwhelmed with grief and couldn’t bring myself to it. I knew that leaving and saying goodbye would not be easy but the kind words and support has made me reflect on just how much this career has meant to me and how much of an impact I have made.

It’s been my absolute honour to be a part of so many of your lives, that you trusted me with more than just your treatments but with the news of any milestone big or small, happy or sad. I got to hear about engagements and breakups, new babies and loss of loved ones, new jobs and retirements, the list goes on and on. To hold space for each and every one of you has been my absolute pleasure.

This next chapter is exciting and I look forward to finding out what lies ahead for me and my little family, but please know that it has come with immense grief and sadness to say goodbye to all of you.

Wether you’ve been on my table once or have been a regular since day 1, thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

And just like that, it’s 9 years as an RMT!

It’s been a blast and an absolute honour to treat anyone who’s found themselves on my table in the last nine years, and thank you to anyone who was able to make a donation of any kind to The United Way Oxford’s Supplies4Students!

The winner of my draw for a free 60 minute treatment will be in my stories! 🩷

My friends, in just one week I will be celebrating 9 years being an RMT! Time flies when you’re having fun! I honestly can’t believe it has been 9 years that I have been practicing, but I guess mixing in a pandemic and two babies will do that to a gal? 😅

I was racking my brain on how I can celebrate this with you guys. It was important to me to find a way to give back to the community, and one of my favourite Oxford County organizations really needs our help. United Way Oxford has a record number of registrants needing help with back to school supplies this year, and not nearly enough funds to foot the bill. With my oldest off to school for the very first time this year, I’m finding myself very emotional at the idea of someone coming to school without the essentials. WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The first 9 people to donate $110 (the cost of a 1 hour massage) to United Way Oxford’s Supplies4Students campaign will be entered into a draw held on my RMT-iversary Aug.25! Just be sure to put in the notes section of your donation “Dayna Vyse 9 year draw” and you’re entered to win a ✨60 minute massage treatment with yours truly! ✨

As of now, ya girl is on HOLIDAYS! 🥳

I’ll be off with my kiddos all next week, so any emails/texts/DMs will have a delayed response. If you don’t hear from me, I’ll be checking everything on Monday July 28th and I’ll get back to you by then at the latest! ✨ Infant Massage Workshop ✨

That’s right, it’s back! I’ll be offering a two-day infant massage workshop!!

I’ll dump the nitty gritty first:

🤰Who: moms/dads/caregivers of new babes (newborn - 6 months) OR expecting parents (with a doll)

👐🏻What: Learn how to safely and effectively massage your little one in my 2 part workshop

👶Why: constipation & gas, improve feeding, colic, relaxation, interact & bond with baby, introduce touch

🗓When: January 15 & 22 @ 10am (5 spaces available)

📍Where: R&RMTs - 513 Dundas St., Woodstock

💲How much: $ 50 for the series * HST included

Massage therapy is beneficial for every body, even the little tiny brand new ones. Babies can both need and enjoy massage therapy just like mom and dad!! Come on out and meet some other new parents and get in some social time, all while learning how to massage your little one. All you need is yourself and your baby (and maybe dipes and wipes and milk 🙃), I’ll bring the rest. For this setting, one-on-one is best but if you’re interested in bringing a partner or other caregiver, send me a DM and we can chat about a private class!

Learning how to massage baby can help their new little bodies with loads of things from gas and constipation and digestion to colic to improving feeding and even to help them just relax. Often times, coming into the world was just as stressful and traumatic to their little bodies as it was to mama! And just think about how over stimulating this outside world is to baby compared to their previous warm and cozy home! 🤰 Massage helps turn on baby’s parasympathetic nervous system, which is just a fancy word for the part of your nervous system that helps you “rest and digest”.

Keep in mind that if you have extended health benefits, this CAN be covered as massage therapy for your little one 😎
