Can't believe it's now two years since we opened the clinic... we continue to strive to offer what we feel is the best physiotherapy service around to the people of Merseyside! We have been able to help over 300 patients achieve their goals and recover from a variety of injuries in the last couple of years. It's also brilliant to receive such lovely feedback from client's!! We look forward to continuing to grow and trying to keep up with the demand! 😁💪💪

PRESCRIPTION SERVICE - At DC Physiotherapy we offer a private prescription service as our clinic director Darren is a qualified non-medical prescriber. This enables us to write you a prescription for pain relief, anti-inflammatories, even medication to treat things like gout. Having optimised pain relieving medication is often key to enabling the physiotherapy intervention or rehabilitation which will get you better in the longer term. Therefore if you are suffering with acute or chronic pain or struggling to get an appointment with you GP get in touch!

The last clinic of the year this evening at DC Physiotherapy, we will be closed until Tuesday 3rd January. We would like to thank all of our clients who have attended the clinic over the past year since we launched In January. We are delighted to be able to offer Hyaluronic Acid joint injections at the clinic.

OSTENIL® is a treatment for the symptoms of osteoarthritis. It can be used in the knee, or in any of the other joints in the body that are classified as 'synovial'.

It is injected into the space in the joint that contains synovial fluid and works by restoring the normal balance between the breakdown and production of sodium hyaluronate. This procedure is known as 'viscosupplementation', and the effect of OSTENIL® means that it can decrease pain and stiffness and improve the other symptoms of osteoarthritis.

Hyaluronic acid injections can give great reductions in pain without the potential side effects of more traditional steroid injections so are a fantastic alternative to try.

Another really enjoyable day teaching with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine on Friday at the end of another busy week at the DC Physiotherapy Clinic. Thanks for everyone who has supported the clinic in our first 4 months 🙏.

Another busy week at the clinic, however it was great to spend a weekend away in Northern Ireland celebrating our new physio Dom’s wedding. Dom has a wealth of experience in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy and is a great asset to the team 🤵‍♂️

Back Pain…

Back pain is one of the most common problems we see in the clinic, not surprising really as you have an 80-90% chance of experiencing an episode of back pain at some point in your life.

We offer a variety of evidence based treatments including manual therapy, manipulation, soft tissue massage and acupuncture to help get you free from pain and moving again. The most important part of any back pain treatment is doing the correct home exercise program, something we pride ourselves on providing our patients.
