I know a lot of you have messaged me for an update on Ken. September 3 he had brain surgery, came home, has fallen 4 times which resulted in a black eye, broken ribs and bruises all over, he has short term memory loss and went to rehab to gain strength and finished radiation. During rehab, he contracted Covid which turned into pneumonia. He was taken by ambulance on Thursday to the hospital and admitted. He went septic, had a UTI, his lungs and body filled with fluid and was put on a ventilator early Saturday morning. We thought we were going to lose him, but God! He was extubated this morning and is doing well. Everything is headed in the right direction. Since the chemo he was on no longer works due to brain mets and he is so weak he no longer can receive chemo or trials unless he gets stronger. We would appreciate your prayers for Ken and our family! It’s been a crazy 2 months!

We could use your prayers once again….
The last couple of weeks have been difficult. Last Saturday morning, Ken fell and has a black eye and then on Wednesday afternoon, Ken fell at the hospital after an MRI and broke two ribs. He is just so weak. Ken is currently in the hospital for aggressive physical therapy and pain management for his ribs. He will have radiation for the remaining tumors and they believe the tumors will not come back and then continue chemo. I currently have a cold and cannot be with him at the hospital. I am at home resting. My mom and dad have been amazing in supporting us and bearing through this trial with us! I know God is with us and HE has a plan for all of this but we are weary from the last month. God has shown me that HE is faithful and trustworthy! Please lift our family in prayer!

Ken is HOME!!!!! He was able to come home this evening and is sleeping soundly in bed! Please pray for the days ahead and the upcoming radiation treatments. He has 34 staples on the left side of his head so please pray for healing and comfort there as well. A smooth recovery!

Another praise report….they were able to remove the entire tumor! Please keep praying!! We have radiation to go and new chemo/immunotherapy. We appreciate you all!

Praise report….Ken is doing well! He has speech, can move his arms and legs, he can see, he can read, he has sat in a chair and drank a Pepsi! He is a miracle! God is so so good to our family! If all goes well he will be out of ICU tomorrow. Keep those prayers coming!!!!!

Ken is in recovery. He had a seizure during surgery so we will not know the extent of it until he wakes up. Please keep praying!

Tomorrow is surgery day…..as of now surgery is scheduled anytime between noon to 3:00pm. The surgeon has one surgery before Ken’s so after that they will take him in.

We have all felt Gods presence and the peace that passes all understanding. We have seen Gods hand in this all from the PET scan, the team that God has lined up and his treatment he will be receiving after the surgery. We know that God is in total control and I have surrendered Ken into the hands of God.

Please lift Ken up in prayer, the surgeons and the medical team, our three girls and Jeremiah as well as myself and our family. God is good and HE will get the glory! We love you all!

Update…Surgery is on Wednesday at 1:50pm. They expect it to take 4-6 hours. They will start radiation after surgery to blast these tumors. He will have radiation 3-5 different times. He is doing good. They gave him steroids last night and today to reduce the inflammation in his brain. He is doing several different scans and tests to pinpoint and map out where they will go in and get the tumor for surgery. I will keep you posted! Please keep praying for Ken as well as our girls and Jeremiah.

This is Teresa….we received the PET scan results and it showed some not so good news.
Ken has 5 tumors in his brain that are cancerous. The Dr called this morning and sent us straight to the hospital. Ken has went through several tests today and the plan is to remove one of the tumors surgically and the remaining 4 with radiation. We have the head of neurology who specializes in brain tumors and is well known throughout the US. He is very hopeful that they will be able to take care of them all. Ken will receive a different type of chemo as well. We have felt the peace that passes all understanding and the presence of God. God is in control! We will keep you updated! Please pray without ceasing for Ken, the doctors and medical team.
