It's been a while since I've done this... I hadn't been feeling good about myself, so didn't want to do these... Life has been sooo busy, being a full time childminder and having 2 Slimming World groups with 3 classes I had let the snacks creep back in and not having time to cook i was just grabbing easy foods....

But I have been determined since August to get back on track properly...

And I'm getting there... Life is still crazy busy and I now have another group with 2 classes, but I'm controlling it...nearly...🤣

This time last year I graduated from my final training as a consultant at Slimming World head office...

Never in a million years did I think I'd then be running 3 groups... With 5 classes... All the while working 55hrs a week as a registered childminder...

It took Kerry Alexander longer than others in her slimming group to lose weight.

On Friday we are married 1 year...❤️

But who in their right mind the few months before they get married decides to take on another job where the hours are crazy and the promotion is time consuming with loads of travel to England... (I don't regret it one bit)
But my weight suffered, I wasn't able to train for the ½ marathon I was also doing... All of this while planning my wedding...

I panicked for weeks that my dress wouldn't fit me... I'll not lie...it was very snug... I had to wear sucky in pants(I say pants..they were massive shorts). I had to jump into my dress to get it up over my hips...
On the day of our wedding and our reception a few days later my bridesmaid Trisha and Brian had to use a grip to button it up, because they couldn't get their fingers in between the seam and my back....
It was hard to sit down too...🫣 I did feel great though...😊

After we got married and with all my jobs I let my weight go a wee bit again....

But in July I decided I wanted (for our anniversary) to get into my dress and sit down...

Since July I have lost 16lb... But only 4lb from our wedding day...but it has made a massive difference...

This was all down to mindset and behavioural changes... And knowing that Slimming World actually works when you do it right...

I won't let this go to my head though... I want 10lb off for Christmas...

💬 My Story...

Heyyyyy all, my name is Kerry... I'm the very proud consultant of 𝙆𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙮'𝙨 𝙎𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝘽𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 & 𝘽𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙖 𝙂𝙤𝙡𝙛 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗(𝘽𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙚)...

I joined my local Slimming World in July 2016 (for the 5th time) after a surgeon bluntly told me I was fat and this was the reason I had endometriosis...
So I swore he would never ever say that to me again...
Like any journey it has it's ups and downs .. it took me a bit longer than anyone else to lose my weight... But I didn't care ... I went on to lose 4st by November 2018 for my hysterectomy at 40...

I set ½st targets at a time, never believing I would lose so much weight, (if I had been told I needed to lose that much weight I'd have given up a long time ago) then in lockdown, May 2020....I had reached my final target🎯 of 5½st🎉
But that didn't stop me... I went on to lose another ½st and got 6st lose, it was my birthday weekend and I only had it for 1day 🤣
I have fluctuated, but that's the busy lifestyle I have .. I am a full time childminder working 55hrs per week...
As a member I love the support, the learning from each other and meeting new people...and I have made great friends along the way....

✨𝘽𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙩 ✨
I decided to become a consultant, as our Saturday morning classes didn't have a permanent consultant, and we were all scared that our wee classes would disappear...
So with alot of persuasion from my fellow members, I became the consultant on 7th September 2024...and honestly
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬....
In my 1st year Our members have lost over a staggering 5200½lb... That's nearly 400st..😱🎉
So in July 2025 I made the decision to take on another group in Broughshane .. never would I have thought that would happen when I joined slimming world....
