As a foundation, we often receive photos from contacts around the world and were delighted to receive these photos last week. 🌎

They show mothers, daughters, sisters, aunts, and even grandmothers who deserve to be applauded for taking the time to think about their breast health. This delights us because it reflects a changing society and offers a glimpse of a future where everyone recognizes that health starts with each of us, and by taking an active role in staying healthy and being health conscious.

We also applaud the efforts of key healthcare institutions and individuals who support this shift by the example of raising awareness of prevention and early detection for serious diseases such as breast cancer. 💗

Celebrating the inspiring work of the Beita Women’s Development Society (BWDS)! Through their regular women’s health awareness events, BWDS goes beyond raising awareness about breast cancer and women’s health, they create a safe, welcoming space where women can openly discuss important issues and support one another. 💗

By introducing the DearYou app to a wide network of women, they are giving countless individuals the tools and confidence to take charge of their health and well-being.

True empowerment begins with knowledge—and health starts with You!

Today, on World Cancer Day, DearYou founder Sonja Dinner shares a powerful reminder from India — awareness can save lives, especially where far too many women are still diagnosed too late.

Breast cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths among women, often because changes are discovered too late. Awareness, knowledge, and simple monthly self-exams can make a real difference.

Created by The DEAR Foundation Switzerland, the free DearYou app helps women check their breasts once a month and recognize changes early. It is available in multiple languages, including Marathi, Hindi, and English.

Join us in raising awareness for breast cancer prevention and women’s health worldwide. Health starts with you. 💗

One shared calling. A story carried by courage.

In Saint‑Louis, Senegal, two sisters stand side by side — journalist Ndèye Khady Diop and human‑rights educator Khady Sow Diop. Their paths are different, yet their purpose is the same: to bring women the knowledge they deserve. 💪

For years, Ndèye Khady has spoken through community radio — in Wolof, Pulaar, and French — making women’s health understandable, reachable, human.
A voice that travels where textbooks cannot. A voice that listens before it teaches.

Today, that same spirit lives on through the DearYou app in their hands.

As DearYou spreads from woman to woman, from home to home, its strength grows through stories like theirs — stories of sisters who refuse to stand still when knowledge can save lives. 💗

A heartbreaking story from Palestine:
A woman silently carried her fear after being diagnosed with breast cancer — hiding it from her husband and family to protect them. She chose not to seek help, and tragically, her life was lost far too soon.

To every woman, everywhere: your health matters. Your life matters.
Please don’t delay seeking care when something feels wrong. Early action can make all the difference. 💗

The DearYou app can help you stay aware of your own body — guiding you through a monthly self‑check so you can know yourself, trust yourself, and act when needed.

When a woman sees inequality, she doesn’t wait — she acts.
She lifts, she leads, she rewrites what’s possible. 🌱

That’s who Sandra Oyarzo Torres is.
A midwife and global advocate who has spent her life standing with women, amplifying their voices, and elevating the women who are driving real change in their communities. As a DearYou Ambassador, she brings that same strength and heart to our mission — turning knowledge and early detection into confidence every woman can feel. 💗

She doesn’t just witness change.
She creates it — with women, for women, everywhere. 🌎

What makes the DearYou Movement special?

It’s the powerful bond between women across the globe—a safe space where they connect, share, and lift each other up. 💗

Our inspiring DearYou Ambassadors, Abeer Salahat (Jordan) and Nour Maha (Egypt), came together to exchange stories, share experiences, and create bold ideas.

DearYou is both a movement and an app—two sides of the same mission.

As an app, it’s your trusted space to discover women’s health tips, learn about breast cancer awareness, and find guidance for your well-being.

As a movement, it’s a global community that connects women worldwide. ✨

No one knows your body better than you. 💗

Your breasts can change throughout your cycle — and that’s completely normal. During your monthly breast self-exam, pay attention to:

👉Lumps, knots, or areas that feel thicker
👉Changes in size or shape
👉Skin changes
👉Nipple discharge

Noticed something unusual? Stay calm — most changes aren’t dangerous. Check again after your next period. If it’s still there, consult your doctor or healthcare professional.

Tip: Log your observations in your journal. This will help you track changes and know exactly what to look for next time.
