If you want to know what a course with me is like, Nina gives a clear picture and a cracking review to boot.

Let's be honest, what girls are taught in school about birth is severely lacking and that is me being super polite (IYKYK). I love spending time with couples and talking about what our bodies are capable of, how we can help our body and baby and also helping the partner understand what their role could be. It's all based in science, evidence based knowledge - no va**na whispering here.

The best bit about this job is hearing about how positively the Mamas and their partners experienced their labour and birth and knowing that they were able to use the tools they collected on the course IRL.

if you're in Kanton Zug and searching for birth preparation courses in English, drop me a DM and we can have a call about how I can help you.

Congratulations!!!! What a fantastically exciting year this will be. A new family member, so many adventures awaiting you.

Have you prepared for the birth? Have you got an understanding of what happens to your body when the time comes to meet your baby?

My role as a birth preparation instructor is to help you understand what happens, what you and your baby are doing during labour and most importantly helping you reframe birth in your mind. Whether you realise it or not, your brain has been filled with negative perceptions of birth which means come the minute, come the hour your brain thinks something is wrong and fear sets in. There are so many things you can do to help your understanding of your physiology, to get your partner on board and useful in the labour suite and to make this transformational experience as positive as possible.

Knowledge is power. Do you know enough? If you want to know more DM me. January is fully booked but possible spaces to start in Feb/March to prepare for the biggest day of your life.........

Thankfully my abilities to educate couples are better than my ability to post competently on the socials.

I love teaching couples to navigate their birth experience even when the paths aren’t straightforward. It was great to hear how Nicole bossed birth after having a challenging pregnancy and that her husband was able to draw on the stuff we learned to be a most excellent birth partner.

If you want to learn about the science of birth and father a toolkit to support you through the labour, DM me for more details.

This weekend required a ‘pivot’ from me to change my timelines, change my plans and go with the flow. For the first time Class 3 this week took place not at a clients home but in the hospital🏥. Before I left home my husband asked if I was ok, I looked a bit nervous. Tbh I was a little thrown by a new environment. I get to know clients and their partners, I’ve seen their home, by class 3 I’m fairly relaxed and confident. But delivering the course, pardon the pun, in a hospital, in a public area when I knew it was a physical class with position demos 🧘🏼………I was trepidatious. Once the there, the clients were the same people from the previous 2 lessons, I knew my content so it was just the environment that was different. And yes I did do some of the position demos

Having to pivot is something to be expected during pregnancy and birth. It’s having the confidence to navigate the changes that is important. To understand the situation and what your options are and be able to bring yourself back to a state of calm. If you are interested in learning about the myriad ways birth can unfold, about what your body can do and breath work & meditations to find your calm, then drop me a message.

Fully booked for this year but if you’re birthing mid Feb or beyond, I’ve got some space :-)

This morning I had the joy of reconnecting with a previous client to talk through what she wants in a refresher course with me🫄🏼🥰.

A hypnobirthing course isn’t just for first time mums to be. You can get a refresher to hone those skills and it can also be an opportunity to work through a previous birth which wasn’t what you had expected or wanted. A chance to try and gain more understanding and “control” the second time around - which can be hugely healing. If you’re interested in a course in 2026, drop me a DM and you too could be having a chat about what Hypnobirthing is and how you can use it for your birth.

And if meeting a returning client wasn’t enough 🥰 for one morning, we bumped into my first ever Switzerland based client on the way out - great to see you

Educating and empowering women in pregnancy, birth and postnatally is so important to me but it is also important for me and the client that I continue to educate myself.

I’ve just completed a Birthing Bio Mechanics with . Shellie’s course is an opener of eyes, heart, legs and hips. With the knowledge she powerfully, amusingly and sometime rantily shares, I hope to help my clients even more on their journey.

It also made me realise we know so little about our bodies. In the age of doctor Google we have lost intuition and trust in ourselves to listen and react. Shellie has reinforced my belief that listening and observing the body will yield much more than unrequested intervention or a tap on the keyboard. It will also prove massively beneficial for motherhood.

Is your view of birth skewed?

As a woman you were probably told from early teens “Don’t get pregnant”, “Having a baby now would ruin your opportunities” . These messages were on repeat until at least 18 year old if not until after Uni. Couple that with media images in print and on screen of screaming women, laying down, legs in stirrups, faces puce with pressure and it’s no wonder pregnant women are petrified of birth.

Understanding your own physiology and reframing birth in your brain is a way to bring calm to the birth room. Reading positive stories, watching positive videos all help with this reframing which is why I was thrilled that in the latest edition of The Calm Birth Method not only has my birth story remained in the book but TWO yes TWO of my clients stories have been included too. Knowing that I have played a small part in helping these women have positive second births gives me such joy.

Do you want to reframe how you see birth? Do you want to enter the birth room calm and empowered? If this is something you want, please drop me a DM to discuss how we can work together to achieve this.
