“Yoga is that state where one recognizes the true heart. What is the true heart?” This workshop begins with prayer, an inquiry into this question and intention setting followed by discussion and yoga practice. With the guidance of the scriptures we will study the principles and nuances of yoga philosophy through the lens of the Yogasūtra, Yoga Vāsiṣṭha and other relevant texts. Yoga is experiential in nature and the intention of this discussion is to lay the impression for meditation leading to the expansion and enhancement of awareness. Through svādhyāya, prāṇāyama, pratyāhara, yoga nidrā and śavāsana, the ambiance and conditions will be laid for deep reflection and absorption.
