Have you ever given a talk in a nightclub?

Amazing location called , where the conference rooms turn into an amazing restaurant venue and discotheque at night.

Excellent experts meeting of surgeons and gastroenterologists at “Jornada Cirugía funcional Esofágica” in Alcorcón 🇪🇸 organized by my dear friend and colleague .carlosmiliani - Thanks so much for the invitation.

I was asked to give insights on the latest reflux surgery techniques, the LINX device and the RefluxStop™ from Implantica. The latest studies (safety study 602 patients with RefluxStop and the 5y-results of the CE-mark trial) were highlighted.

My second talk focused on recurrent hiatal hernias: when and how to operate. As the focus was on motility and functional testing I had the great opportunity to exchange knowledge with my Spanish colleagues from the Madrid region.

We had a great day and night at this location 😉

concert in Bern 🇨🇭- so proud of my girls playing so much sports and music!
Playing sports and music are deeply connected, with music enhancing athletic performance by boosting endurance, reducing perceived effort, synchronizing movement, regulating mood, and helping athletes enter a “flow state,” while both activities independently build skills like discipline, coordination, and cognitive function. 💯💪👏

Awareness Week: Day 6+7

Weekends are for family time, but most busy surgeons use their off-time to work on research projects and writing papers.

We just got recently acceptance for our summary of the first 100 patients at my Center at Hirslanden Clinic -Site in , Switzerland.

Just got online ahead-of-print this week on November 27th 2025.

This is real world data including complex patients (larger hiatal hernias, ineffective esophageal motility) with excellent outcome.

The paper will be open access soon, so everyone can download it for free in .
