Swiss Medical Students' Association - swimsa swimsa is the voice of 9000 medical students, both nationally and internationally. Gallen & Zurich (Uni and ETH).

The Swiss Medical Student’s Association, better known by its acronym swimsa, is the voice of 9000 medical students, both nationally and internationally. Since 1917, it has brought together medical students from all over Switzerland who are committed to their education and public health and formed a network that facilitates the development of projects and ideas. It inspires medical students to be engaged and to commit to what is important to them. Students’ associations: Basel, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Lucerne, Lugano, St. Projects: Achtung Liebe, Doctors and Death, Gruhu, Marrow, M.E.T.I.S., Teddy Bear Hospital, UAEM, Medstache, Escolhares, MedSICS, ASC, AGT, CLASH, YoungSonographers, AEST, EROS, ASTiM, SCS, JSEMS & POZH

These three students absolutely ROCK! The U ROCK swimsa Award honors extraordinary student engagement within swimsa and is bestowed twice per year. We recognize the great devotion and engagement of all the nominees in swimsa and its projects and therefore want to thank them wholeheartedly with the nomination for the U ROCK swimsa Award!

Delegates from all the Fachschaften/Associations and the projects will vote on who should win this year’s award and the winner will be awarded at the SMSC in Bern, 27th to 29th March 2026!
