PACS - Phaco surgery reconsidered 💡
Powered by the OS 4 Up.

With conventional phaco modes (Continuous, Pulse, Burst), the movement of the phaco tip is controlled solely by the pedal deflection. PACS takes it a step further by adaptively regulating tip movement – much like cruise control.

Getting closer to the OS 4 Up than ever before 🦅

A quiet excitement filled the corridors as the first surgeons arrived for our first OS 4 Up Experience Days today. Some had travelled far ✈️, all of them curious to see how the OS 4 Up performs in practice 🔍

What followed was an invitation to discover the OS 4 Up in many forms 👀. In the wetlab, where ideas 💡 met real surgical motion, during playful hands-on sessions 🫴🏻 that sparked curiosity, and through an insightful tour of our production facility ⚙️ that revealed the precision behind every detail of the OS 4 Up.

Hands-on learning in action 👁️

At the 21st Vienna Wetlab Course from MTS - The Wetlab Company GmbH , young ophthalmic surgeons had the chance to refine their skills 🎯 in phacoemulsification and vitrectomy, guided by Prim. Priv.-Doz. Dr. Katharina Krepler and an inspiring team of experts 🙏

We were delighted to support this valuable training event and see our surgical platforms in action 👀 during the wetlab sessions. A great atmosphere, curious minds and plenty of surgical passion – that’s what makes continuous learning so rewarding 🦅

A new 17" control panel with a wide 180° viewing angle ensures clear visibility and easy handling from any position. The fast PREOP and parallel Phaco Test help reduce preparation time, while the integrated timer, C-shaped GFI suspension and flat top storage area support smooth workflows for the entire team.

AAO 2025 – Orlando, thank you! 🙏

What a great weekend it has been at the American Academy of Ophthalmology Congress in Orlando – full of inspiring exchanges, new encounters 🙋🏻‍♂️, and familiar faces. Our team was delighted to welcome so many visitors to the booth and share our passion for eye surgery 👁️

All three platforms – CataRhex 3, Faros, and the OS 4 Up were on display, sparking many interesting discussions 💬 across the international audience.

Another highlight was our Phaco Booth Wetlab, where visitors could experience the CataRhex 3 in action.
