Lipedema Rebel

Lipedema Rebel Hi I am Silvia- Lipedema Mentor. I guide women preparing for Lipedema Reduction Surgery. Because surgery is not the first step - preparation is.

Lipedema patient myself. Book your introduction call.

I had my stitches removal last week after my third lipedema surgery and wound check, and it went perfectly without any complications.

This is also the moment when the surgeon checks that everything is healing properly and that the legs are recovering as expected.

I don’t think many people show this part of recovery.

Stitches removal is a real medical step — done by a nurse from the surgeon’s team, who also supports the wound care and makes sure everything is clean and healing well.

In my experience, it was a very calm and gentle process.

Still, I know this moment can make some patients feel anxious, especially when they see it for the first time.

This is why having the right medical team around your surgeon matters so much — it changes how safe and supported you feel during recovery.

Not everything about surgery is shown online, but this is part of the reality.

Thank you, Kadi , for your care 🤍
And thank you to my surgeon for the careful follow-up.🙏

I didn’t want to share this reel.

Because I feel vulnerable showing my body like this — swollen legs, swollen stomach, not feeling like myself at all.

It’s not easy to be seen in this condition.🥺

But at the same time, I know how important it is.

Because this is what the first days after lipedema surgery really look like.

You are not independent.
You need help for basic things.
Your body is swollen and you can’t properly take care of your legs on your own.

This is why a home nurse is not optional.

You need to plan it BEFORE your surgery.

Home nurses are often fully booked, and trying to organize this after surgery is stressful and too late.

Some insurance plans may cover this type of care, so it’s important to check in advance what is included.

I’m sharing this so you know what to expect — not just the results, but the reality. 🤜🤛

Save this so you don’t forget to organize your home care before surgery.

After my 3rd lipedema reduction surgery, movement was limited.

But staying completely still is not the goal.

This is how I started introducing gentle movement very early — using a vibration platform.

Not as exercise.
Not to push my body.
But to support circulation during the first days.

Here’s how I use it:

• I start very gradually
• 2–5 minutes, several times a day
• always on low intensity
• seated — not standing

In the early days, your stability is not there yet.
Standing too soon can increase the risk of falling.

The goal is simple:
not to stay completely still.

As days go by, I slowly increase time and only stand when I feel stable.

This is not about doing more.
It’s about supporting your body in the right way.

Save this if you are preparing for surgery — you might need it sooner than you think.

Share it with someone who is going through recovery.

If you are in this phase, you can reach out. Remember I am opening 5 slots of 1:1 mentoring starting May. If you want to prepare properly for your next surgery with a method than I hope to see you on board at my private mentoring session.

During my mentoring sessions, I often see the same situation:

women focus so much on the surgery itself…
but they feel lost when it comes to recovery.

Especially when inflammation appears.

First of all:
post-op inflammation after lipedema surgery is completely normal.

It is not a complication.
It is not a sign that something went wrong.
It is part of the healing process.

Your body is:
• repairing tissue
• managing fluid shifts
• adapting to surgical trauma

But while inflammation is normal, you can absolutely support your body during this phase.

Here’s what actually matters:

✔ adequate protein intake
Supports tissue repair and recovery

✔ proper hydration + electrolytes
Helps lymphatic flow and fluid balance

✔ anti-inflammatory foods
Support your body’s natural healing process

✔ avoiding inflammatory triggers
Such as ultra-processed food, excess sugar, alcohol

✔ enough energy intake
Your body needs fuel to heal — not restriction

Recovery is not just about what the surgeon does.
It’s also about how you support your body afterwards.

This is the part that is often underestimated — and it can completely change your healing experience.

If you are preparing for or recovering from lipedema surgery, this phase deserves just as much attention as the procedure itself.

Remember Rebel Principle #1
Preparation starts within you. It’s your responsibility — not your surgeon’s.™️😉

During my mentoring sessions, many women ask me the same question:

“Why don’t I see the results I expected after surgery?”
And very often, they feel panicked when they see their legs swollen after lipedema reduction surgery.

What most women don’t know is that this reaction is completely expected.

After surgery, the body enters a controlled inflammatory phase.
This is not a setback — it is part of the healing process.

Swelling is caused by:
• surgical trauma to tissues
• temporary disruption of lymphatic pathways
• fluid accumulation in the treated areas

It typically peaks between Day 6–14, before gradually starting to decrease.

During this phase, it is normal to experience:
• increased volume in the legs
• tightness and hardness in the tissues
• uneven or irregular appearance
• bruising that can temporarily hide early improvements

This can feel emotionally difficult, especially when expectations are focused on immediate visible change.

But underneath the swelling, your body is actively working:
repairing tissues, restoring lymphatic flow, and starting the long-term remodeling process.

Recovery is not immediate. And it is not linear.

Understanding this phase before surgery can completely change your emotional experience and reduce unnecessary fear during recovery.

I’m sharing my journey after my third lipedema surgery to make this process more transparent and less overwhelming.

If you are preparing for or recovering from lipedema surgery, you are not alone in this phase. Let’s talk!

Preparing for lipedema surgery is not just about the procedure —
it’s about everything that comes after.

The first days post-op are when your mobility is limited, your body is overwhelmed, and even simple tasks become challenging.

Having the right items ready before surgery can make a significant difference in how you experience recovery.

Things like compression (my is Marena Recovery .switzerland through .group.ag ), appropriate clothing, or even something as simple as the right shoes or crutches are not “extras” — they are part of your recovery setup.

Most women underestimate this phase and end up trying to organize everything after surgery, when they are already exhausted.

Preparation is not optional.
It directly impacts your recovery.

I’m sharing this from my own experience after multiple lipedema reduction surgeries — so you can approach this process with clarity, not uncertainty.

If you’re preparing for Lipedema surgery and need guidance, you can DM me “PREP”.

Hospital stay after lipedema surgery is often underestimated.

It’s not just about the procedure — it’s about how your body and daily function change immediately after.

From compression to early movement and lymphatic drainage, recovery starts right away and requires preparation.

Most women are not fully prepared for this phase — and that’s where many difficulties begin.

I’m sharing my experience after my third lipedema reduction surgery so you can approach this process with clarity, not uncertainty.
