I missed posting yesterday for World Mental Health Day… and honestly, that feels pretty fitting.
Between being back in the classroom this week, baking birthday cakes late last night, and trying to keep up with all the plates spinning, I’m feeling that familiar overwhelm again. It’s a reminder of why I stepped back from full-time teaching, and how easy it is to lose sight of your own wellbeing when you’re constantly juggling.
So today, I’m giving myself permission to slow down (well… as much as you can at a soft play centre for your child’s birthday party 😅).
Mental health isn’t about one day of awareness — it’s about recognising the small signs, the quiet need to rest, and knowing it’s okay to step back when you need to. 💚
Here’s to all the parents, teachers, and jugglers out there. You’re doing an amazing job, even when it doesn’t feel like it.
