In 2025 IBSA launched a process to decrease the weight of the secondary packaging of all medicines produced in Switzerland, in order to reduce tangibly its resource usage.

Today we celebrate the , an opportunity to explore the importance of well-being in our lives and in society.
Happiness is a core area of focus for IBSAFoundation’s activities, which include the HappyLabs—workshops that interweave scientific content with artistic languages to explore the connections between identity, relationships and the digital world.
Since 2024, over 700 students have taken part in the project, which has seen further developments this year and has also been integrated into the educational activities of Biennale Arte 2026 and the programme of InnovaComix, the International Comic Art Festival in Lugano.

The fourth edition of Premio Film Impresa, a prestigious event dedicated to the best corporate audio-visual works concluded in Rome on Thursday, 4 March.
IBSA’s docu-film "Eureka! Story of an Impossible Invention" was also a highlight of the festival. This short film was selected as a finalist in the Narrative category and in Best Original Music category from hundreds of entries.
Produced by Pluma Pictures in 2025, the docu-film tells the story of an invention that once seemed unachievable: levothyroxine in softgel capsules.
The nomination, the positive reception, and the screening before the public and a jury of excellence represent a recognition that celebrates the film's value and highlights IBSA's ability to unite scientific innovation and artistic expression in a continuous dialogue.

🔬 For instance, since the launch of the IBSA Foundation Fellowship in 2013, approximately 60% of the fellowships have been awarded to female researchers.

The IBSA Foundation Fellowships are an initiative designed to support young researchers. In an increasingly complex scenario, initiatives like this are essential to offer a real chance—a concrete opportunity to give shape to innovative scientific ideas.

In 2024, its twelfth year, the programme reported record participation of 259 candidates from 45 countries, rewarding six outstanding projects with research grants worth €32'000 each in key areas of research.
