EUPSA expresses its deepest condolences to the Storz family on the passing of Dr. Sybill Storz.
A remarkable leader and a true visionary, Dr. Storz was widely praised for her unwavering commitment to supporting the needs of physicians and for her dedication to advancing medical communication, education, and training.

From 1996 to 2018, she led the family company Karl Storz Endoskope in Tuttlingen, guiding it with extraordinary foresight and transforming it into both a Hidden Champion of German industry and a global leader in endoscopic technologies. Her entrepreneurial achievements were recognized many times, and her influence continues to shape the field of minimally invasive surgery worldwide.

Dr. Storz’s partnership with the pediatric surgical community—and her steadfast support for innovation—stand as a lasting testament to her exceptional vision and leadership. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations of surgeons, innovators, and healthcare professionals.

On behalf of the EUPSA Executive Board Members and the entire EUPSA Family, we offer our profound sympathy to her loved ones, to all who had the privilege of working with her, and to the entire organization during this difficult time.

📣 Save the Date!
The 33rd Pediatric Colorectal Club (PCC) Meeting will take place in Vienna, 17–19 May 2026, just a few days before the EUPSA Annual Congress, held jointly with ESPES and IPEG from 20–23 May 2026.

This will be an excellent opportunity for the pediatric surgical community to attend both events consecutively, benefiting from a full week of scientific exchange, education, and international collaboration. The PCC Meeting will feature the latest updates on anorectal malformations, Hirschsprung disease, constipation, f***l incontinence, and long-term outcomes.
