AZAD, a privately held company was established in 2000 for global sales and marketing of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). Soon after, AZAD began to diversify its field of expertise in order to broaden its offerings and extend its presence in the healthcare industry. Notably, AZAD concentrates on the following major areas:

- AZAD Pharmaceutical Ingredients develops non infringing APIs through proprietary development and partnerships.

- AZAD Pharma develops non infringing Finished Drug products and develops and offers modified, value added drug products. AZAD has a broad reach with offices in Canada, Switzerland, Armenia, and China, and has immediate access to all potential clients in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Middle East, and CIS region. With high investment in personnel AZAD also assures effective marketing gathering activities that translate into successful projects.

We are looking for motivated and skilled Bachelor- and Master students willing to participate in our education program and complete their thesis in our company.

AZAD Pharma is continuously investing in its product portfolio and its future and has therefore expanded its R&D infrastructure. As part of this extension process, AZAD is building a dedicated education lab area in Armenia.
Subsequently, AZAD is now implementing its own education program within its R&D department to educate interested and highly skilled scientist according to the needs of the company and according to industry standards.

AZAD Annual Meeting 2019 took place from September 9-11. After interesting presentations as well as workshops on specific topics, the event ended with boat trip to St. Katharinenthal where the first AZAD challenge took place. The participants team work abilities were demanded in challenges named "Saw", "Beans", "Nails", "Rubber Boots" and "Mystery".
Congratulations to the winning team Mickael Movsisyan, Jan, Marvin and Jessica!
The event was then continued with an Armenian-Style BBQ and travelling back to Schaffhausen by boat.

AZAD has been operating under two separate companies since its inception. The business transactions for both companies have become more and more interwined so that it has become clear that both companies should be merged. We are therefore happy to announce that with immediated effect, AZAD Pharmaceutical Ingredients AG and AZAD Pharma AG will operate as a single company under the name AZAD Pharma AG. All operations and products remain unchanged as do management, employees, address and telephone numbers.
