Patient motion during MRI isn’t random. It’s predictable.�
A 2026 US study by Yokoo et al. analyzing 68,517 exams found motion was significantly more likely in:

🔵 Inpatients (~3.3×) and emergency patients (~2.6×) �🔵 Patients ≥85 years (nearly 2×) �🔵 Severe obesity (+48%) �🔵 Male patients (+14%) �🔵 Black patients (+18%)�

Pretty brave to see the inside of the MRI at such an age!

We take special care to make the examinations for babies as safe and comfortable as possible. That's why we developed the BabyFix Cocoon - so babies don't have to be afraid of radiology.

Liam P. had been born two days before and was under observation – suspicion of insufficient oxygen supply during birth. Because the doctor wanted to rule out brain damage, he had him prepped for an MRI in natural sleep.
In order to be able to observe the infant during the MRI, pulse oximetry was applied as usual. Afterwards, the hearing protection and the positioning aid were put on directly, with radiology technologists and neonatology staff deciding to use the BabyFix Cocoon. Due to the compact and stable positioning, Liam could be fed and then placed directly asleep in the MRI.

Um MTR dabei zu unterstützen, haben wir von der Pearl Technology AG das MR Safety Pad entwickelt.

Es erfüllt höchste Ansprüche an Robustheit, vermeidet den Hautkontakt mit der Gantry, und senkt das Verbrennungsrisiko massgeblich.
