Back in the cold and wonderful deep snow in Japan after over 2 months of beach and ocean,waves and surfing in Australia.
After meeting so many awesome people on the way now staying with friends who are family, being able to experience different special adventures today in the great fluffy powder which Japan has to offer - especially in the trees

More than 20 years ago, we met on a train—on my way to my first internship as a social worker.
Since then, life kept weaving our stories together: Adventures, snowboarding,hiking,Walks, coffee Dates, Bible studies, church, shared seasons in the same town, reunions across the world… and now, here we are again in Niseko, Japan 🇯🇵🤍

Being welcomed by Moni and her family feels like pure grace.
She has the beautiful gift of giving gifts&in this way Blessing me mightily speaking my love language so fluently and showering me with Little Gifts for my arrival and belated birthday 💖💖💖🌈🤗

She calls out the gold in people, empowers them, delights in the small things God places in her path, and makes others feel stronger just by being near.

Now she’s learning Japanese, taking every chance to speak it—honoring the people, opening doors, and connecting heart to heart with the local community.
A strong soul. A pillar for truth and justice.
So deeply grateful for this friendship and this moment ✨beyond words🫶🏾🥰♨️

Good morning 🇯🇵

I still can’t really wrap my head around it
I was at the beach, having sunbeams warming my skin,wandering through Melbourne with the marvellous and travelling through the night to come to snowy white Sapporo to find my dear and amazing friends who welcome me showering me with love and gifts because that’s who they are and letting me experience japanese lifestyle on my arrival…

I’m still processing…🙃 so grateful for having loving friends and getting to experience life with them…

How beautiful this is and how blessed I am to see this beauty evolve… (& freaking cold!)

It’s my last day on the beach…🥺 sitting here with a crying and a smiling eye. It’s been so awesome to be in the water almost everyday and getting more confident in the surf and actually riding waves.

How will I calm my nervous system and refill my batteries without staring onto the ocean for hours…- but AND I’m so amazed & excited at how adaptable we were made to be. I believe I really thrive in a place like this 👙🏄🏾‍♀️☀️🌈🌏🏊🏾‍♀️🏝️🏖️🏕️🎡and I know that I will thrive in another place too because it’s not about the outside but about the inside! And about who I know to be - just being a girl loved and blessed by her Heavenly Father - so, therefore I’m looking forward to go onto new adventures - first Melbourne and then Japan🗻❄️

Yesterday I had the most amazing experience being in the water with these majestic stingrays - I even got to feed one (it‘s officially allowed when you give them bait and not anything strange…)

They are very soft and seemed to come and stop at my legs for cuddles
(Probably for food but they would take the cuddles anyway)

I am truly blessed with ALL the earthly and HEAVENLY BLESSINGS (still learning what that means!) & enjoying being loved by the ONE who is love!

I didn‘t want to get out of the water anymore even though I was shivering with cold…&it took forever to warm up afterwards!!☺️

Got my board dinged at Cabarita beach without even noticing 🌊the guy on the wave didn’t see me!

For a second I thought panic would sneak back in and undo all the confidence I’ve built lately.

But it didn’t.

Great new friends supported me, believed in me, and reminded me I’ve got this 🤍 , Daryl, Shane, Wazza…
„Old“ young friends from back home (Jayden & Joey) helped me repair the Board, heart steady, (shout out to for talking me through my panic moment), back in the water.

Still a little flinch when someone drops in 😅
But mostly just joy, gratitude, and a lot of fun surfing again.

I thought for once, I’m going to see the sun set over the ocean…I was ready for my movienight and enjoyed it!

I feel simply happy.

Just sitting here, doing nothing much — watching the wind move feeling it on my skin, taking small bites of my bare sushi „paper“, letting time pass without hurry. Everything feels round, whole, complete.

Happiness doesn’t need a reason. It lives quietly inside the moment, tucked within the ordinary. Even when nothing is happening, everything is here — within me.
To be content is a kind of magic. It’s the art of realizing that you already have enough, that just being is sometimes the most beautiful thing of all.

& this makes me so thankful - thankful for this moment,thankful for my life, for the people I get to meet, places I get to see & God is leading me & loving me dearly!

I loooove it! And it makes me smile!

All the shells I found had a defect & thats exactly why I was able to use them! If they were all totally perfect I couldn’t put them on my recycled thread and create such an easy, free, homey peace of decoration!

& it’s a good reminder that you don’t have to be perfect to be of any value! Even or especially in your brokenness you are precious and can be inspiring, helpful and an encouragement to others!

Always be yourself (unless you can be a unicorn then always be a unicorn!!🤗😘)
