February 14 is Valentine’s Day.
“The day of love,” as we’ve been told. The day when we’re supposed to celebrate love with our partner.
And often, that also means we forget how important that person is for us during the other 364 days.
Or only remember love, because there are red roses and pink hearts everywhere.
Maybe, you don’t have such a “person” in your life at the moment, and are possibly feeling lonely or sad.
Maybe you’re someone who doesn’t like this particular day and values love every day anyway.
Or maybe you love more than one person at the same time, love someone who isn’t available, or someone who is no longer with us.
Or maybe you’re getting to know someone and you’re not yet sure where things are going.
Love often comes with so many expectations, hopes, and dreams, but also trauma, wounds, and heartbreak.
Wherever you are right now in relation to love and relationships, know that the relationship you have with yourself is the most important one. It’s a 24/7 relationship. One you can’t escape from or consciously end.
But it is also the one relationship that is always there for you, regardless of what life throws at you.
Tomorrow’s Ecstatic Dance is on Valentine’s Day and is dedicated to self-love.
Whether you’re single, happily in love, heartbroken, freshly separated, or in any other place of the spectrum of love, you are invited to spend the evening with yourself (and us!).
To let go of expectations.
To stop thinking and problem solving for a moment.
To dance with love.
To hold yourself.
To hold each other.
Whatever you need right now, there is space for it at Ecstatic Dance.
We would so love to see you tomorrow!
