Die rote Kurve zeigt: Dieses Jahr fängt die Grippewelle deutlich früher an als in den Jahren zuvor. Mit Tee statt Wein, so dürfte wohl der eine oder die andere in diesem Jahr unter dem Weihnachtsbaum anstossen.

Einige Patientinnen und Patienten mit grippeähnlicher Erkrankung werden aufgrund einer ärztlichen Verordnung labordiagnostisch abgeklärt. Alle positiven Influenza-Nachweise müssen dem Bundesamt für Gesundheit BAG gemeldet werden. Die Zahlen stellen allerdings nur die Spitze des Eisbergs dar. Denn: Nicht alle Erkrankten suchen bei grippeähnlichen Symptomen eine Arztpraxis auf und nicht alle werden in diesem Fall auf Influenza getestet.
