Hello PBOHIANS.

In our community today, life has changed. Many of us spend more time sitting, staying indoors, or moving from one place to another on bikes and taxis.

True or True 😂

It feels easier… but it’s slowly hurting our health without us noticing.

Studies remind us that being physically active is one of the simplest and most powerful ways to reduce the risk of many cancers. Not necessarily gym life. Not necessarily lifting heavy weights. Just moving our bodies in ways that feel natural.

And the good news is: in community, movement is still part of our everyday life if we choose it.

🎯A short walk in Nkwen.
🎯Climbing the hills of Old Town.
🎯Fetching water from down Bush 😊.
🎯Cleaning the compound.
🎯Walking to the market.
🎯Doing simple home exercises
🎯Joining a small football ⚽ or hand ball game in the quarter.

🎯” _Dodging or Sizor is not left out for those concerned😊”_

🎯Even farming around Bambui or Bambili.

These small, everyday actions help our hearts, our minds, and yes they help protect us from chronic illnesses, including cancers.

Stress levels are high. But movement is healing. It clears the mind, lifts the spirit, and keeps the body strong.

We kindly wish remind ourselves and our community:
We don’t need fancy gyms to stay healthy.
We just need to move a little more each day.

For ourselves.
For our families.
For the future we’re building here in our communities.

Would you consider exercising today?

Would you dance, walk or ??

Give us a clue😊

Hello PBOHIANS😊!

We want to share a small story from our own community.

Growing up, some of us believed fruits were only for people in the hospital 🤣🤣🤣.

Can you relate?

Anytime we visited someone who was sick, we carried oranges, apples, watermelon and the rest.

Most times, we didn’t even eat fruits ourselves unless it was fruit seasons with the types like Mangoes, guava, and pear.

But as we learned more, we discovered something important:
*Fruits and vegetables are not luxury items. They are simple everyday neccesity that help protect our health.*

Adding even a small portion of fruits or vegetables to your meals can support your body and reduce the risk of diseases, including cancer.
_”You no need plenty money just small, steady effort”._

So let us ask you…
*How often do you take fruits and vegetables?*
A small habit today can protect your tomorrow.

World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day
November 17, 2025

Today we join the world in marking the first-ever World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day a day created during WHO’s 78th Assembly, following years of global effort to prevent this disease through vaccination, screening, and timely care.

Cervical cancer has deeply affected families in Bamenda, yet God has blessed us with the knowledge and tools to protect our mothers, sisters, and daughters. With unity, compassion, and simple preventive steps, we can save lives.

May God guide our actions and bless every woman with hope and healing.

God bless Bamenda.
