NAWA - Nutrition and Wellness Associates is located in Bamenda Cameroon. Its a nutrition centre that aims to encourage and promote healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle for men, women and children of all ages. NAWAs main objective is to provide nutrition counselling, education and availability of nutritious products and whole food supplements for wellness, nutritional related diseases and cases like malnutrition (under-over), High Blood pressure, Gastritis and Ulcers, Heart problems, Pregnant and lactating women, Healthy living (weight loss, weight gain), HIV+, healthy individuals and others.

Let’s talk about the benefits of breast feeding for mother’s.🤱🏽
Ever wonder why some women return to their pre-pregnancy weight faster? The body breaks down our energy stores to produce breastmilk, hence breastfeeding helps women return to their pre-pregnancy weight faster. It also delays the return of menstruation after child birth and prevents against another pregnancy (acts as a contraceptive)😲. And lastly, breastfeeding reduces the risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and postpartum depression. These are just a few of the many benefits of breast feeding for mothers! Plus come on, it’s FREE and contains all the nutrients a child needs up till 6months. No need for formula or water or etcs. So when next you see a mum unsure if she should breastfeed, share some of the benefits with her. 🤗. .

Diarrhea often causes dehydration because of the frequent loss of fluids and electrolytes😣. If one is not rehydrated from the fluids lost, it could lead to shock and possibly death, especially in infants😟. Infants are at high risk of diarrhea because they pick on things around their environment and put in their mouth which may carry bacteria☝🏾. They may also have diarrhea if they ingest formula milk or food that was prepared unhygienically. Did you know you don’t have to spend any money on Oral rehydration solution (ORS)? You can make your own at home🤗. ORS helps to replenish all fluids and electrolytes lost, so that one does not become dehydrated🙌🏾. How to prepare ORS:
Mix together
1. 1 litre of cooled boiled water
2. 8 teaspoons of sugar
3. 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
