Today, on World Cerebral Palsy Day, we celebrate a global community of over 17 million people who are . We stand together to recognize the individuality and strength of every person living with cerebral palsy.
No two people with cerebral palsy (CP) are the same. It is a group of conditions that affects movement and coordination, but its impact varies widely. For some, it might mean using a wheelchair, while for others, it could affect speech, balance, or fine motor skills. Yet, every person with CP is defined not by their diagnosis, but by their unique personality, talents, and spirit.
Today is about raising our collective voice to drive real, positive change.
It’s a day to:
Raise awareness: To foster a deeper understanding of CP, challenging stereotypes, and highlighting the vibrant lives within the community.
Promote inclusion: To advocate for equal opportunities in education, employment, and community life.
Push for innovation: To accelerate research and access to technologies, like assistive devices and therapies, that can improve quality of life.
We are so much stronger when we are united. By sharing our stories, celebrating our differences, and working toward a more accessible and equitable world, we show that our unity is our greatest strength.
This World CP Day, here’s how you can take action:

Use the hashtags and to share your story or a message of support.
