we have a new rubric known as "Diseases and their respective curative herbs". so each week we will talk about a disease and how you can cure yourself by consuming bio. This week we shall be talking about Asthma
ASTHMA is a chronic respiratory ailment that causes wheezing, coughing, chest congestion , shortness of the breath and tremendous anxiety about being unable to breath. Doctors treat Asthma with a variety of drugs like Theophyline (Aerolate, Theo-Dur) that opens up the bronchial tubes. These drugs, known as bronchiodilators are often taken with inhaler.
when it comes to asthma, it is good to follow a physician's recommendation. this is a potentially fatal illness. If your doctor suggested theopylline as treatment of asthma, we advice you to get it from natural sources, the chief among them is a plant containing caffeine
Caffeine: coffee, tea, caffeinated colas and cocoa as well as chocolate candy are derived from plants that contain caffeine and count as herbal products. All reportedly contain two other major natural anti-asthmatic compounds, theobromine and theophyline which along with caffeine belong to a family of chemicals called xanthenes. These chemicals help stop bronchus spasm and open constricted bronchial passages.
The level of these anti-asthmatic compounds present in each items varies depending on the strength of the brew and other factors. But in general, a cup of coffee has the highest levels (about 100 million grams of caffeine per cup) of caffeine thus it helps the situation.
Breathe better with eucalyptus: eucalyptus leaves when boiled and drunk will also help asthmatic people.
Breathe better with stinging nettle: Four hundred years ago, the British herbalist Nicholas Culpeper claimed that nettle roots or leaves used in juice or tea were "safe and sure medicine to open the the pipes and passages of the lungs. Friends with Asthma should dig up the roots, boil and drink about 1/2 a glass morning and evening for about 21 days.
Ginseng mixed with honey will also help to purify the lungs. Garlic mixed with lemon juice and honey can also be effective for asthmatic patients. hope you enjoyed it see you next week for another astuce
