This is farming period . This period most farmers that depend on rains for crop production are busy preparing the farms. Our first year students in agriculture production technology just arrived the field for field work on large scale crop production with focus on practical site preparation with machinery.

Did you know the EHFA Foundation -EHHI teaching medical imagery center is very functional especially with the newly installed Modern X Rays systems, mammography systems , and ultrasound systems ? It goes beyond teaching our students to serving our communities thus facilitating early diagnosis, treatments and quick referrals as need be. Also offering short term courses for all clinical staff with specific focus from many health districts. When need arises we offer short in service training free of charge to quickly improve diagnosis and treatment to save lives. An institution with very practical skills laboratories for different specialties plus different services for community benefits.

Hundreds of youths representing many communities trained on first aid for families and friends. Our approach in giving back to our communities and reaching out to as many lives that need basic care as much as possible. We are happy that this is being done .

Another exciting week of knowledge and skills transfer to our students . Excellent quality practical sessions and most importantly students also learn how to train people on Community first aid skills.
Thanks to Prof Isabel Coetzee for leading these teaching activities as the second week of block teaching runs through. Our collaboration with ROBINAID Academy, University of Pretoria, university of Bamenda and others is creating great impact faster than expected. This weekend shall be focused on community first aid training for families and friends with target trainees being youths from high schools.

Exciting moments for Essential health university institute and all its academic partners like university of Bamenda, ROBINAID Academy, University of Pretoria and others as we keep focused on improving education for students to bring development in the communities and Africa at large.
After a busy week training physicians, nurses , anesthetist, midwives and critical care colleagues, the weekend was for matriculation, graduation and inauguration of the teaching medical imagery center.

Actions towards improving care of the critical Ill patients reached its peak today 16th January with skills training , first test for the current group, ultrasound practice sessions, a special support of the regional delegate for public health for north west region being the chief administrator committed to improving education of all his staff in inter- professional anesthesia, emergency, and critical care. Of course infrastructural development is accompanying these efforts. We thank All our partner universities like , ROBINAID Academy, University of Bamenda, University of Pretoria and others not mentioned. We thank all our leaders and staff undertaking this commitment to improve care to those who’s lives are being threatened. Words are enough to say it.

Inter-professional Anesthesia , emergency and critical care phase one face to face and hands-on training is already in its 3rd day and will continue for two more days. physicians, anesthesiologist, Critical care nurses , midwives and emergency services staff are all together in one room Sharing knowledge and skills to improve care of patients . The staff came from over 20 districts and two regional hospitals. This is a strategy of Essential Health university institute, ROBINAID Academy, and university of Pretoria in collaboration with the regional delegation of health for North west to improve care by starting first with capacity building.

Thanks to Prof Matthias Angres , Prof Isabel Coetzee, Prof Ged Williams, Prof Kevin Pilarczyk and many others for their endless support in teaching these staff.
