The National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS) has kicked off preparations for the 2026 World Blood Donor Day, marked every June 14. The first preparatory meeting brought together key blood donation advocates including Blood Track, Lifeline Africa, NOLFOWOP, Humanitaire Possible Cameroun, FECADOBES, Demain le Cameroun, Mothers Heart, and SOS Don de Sang - working together to make the 2026 celebration truly memorable.

Management Committee of the NBTS Meets in 9th Ordinary Session

The Management Committee of the National Blood Transfusion Service (NBTS), chaired by Prof. Tetanye Ekoe, has adopted the 2026 budget of CFAF 106,732,179 during its 9th Ordinary Session held on 22 December 2025.
Despite a reduced budget compared to the previous year, management reaffirmed its commitment to efficiency, quality and continuity of blood transfusion services nationwide. The 2026 financial framework prioritises consolidation, improved governance, strengthened collaboration with Regional Blood Transfusion Services and sustained blood safety standards.
