On March 6, 2026, Jiahui Health and launched the 2026 Spring Jiahui Health × NYU Shanghai Medical Mentorship Program, a pilot partnership, supported by the Shanghai Nature and Health Foundation, that brings together a multinational cohort of NYU Shanghai pre‑health students (from China, the U.S., Kazakhstan, the Philippines and beyond) with Jiahui’s physician mentors. The program combines hands‑on volunteer service, immersive clinical practice, and academic guidance to inspire students, build professional skills, and help shape compassionate, globally minded physicians of the future.
The program’s first phase offers practice‑focused learning in family medicine, pediatrics, surgery, and dentistry, giving students direct, hands‑on experience in core clinical settings. During the 3‑month pilot, the cohort will complete departmental rotations and volunteer work. Learning outcomes will be assessed to refine the model and expand Jiahui–NYU Shanghai collaboration in global medical training. We look forward to nurturing the next generation of compassionate, skilled clinicians and to expanding shared opportunities in global medical education.

A U.S. patient with advanced NSCLC, having exhausted all available treatment options in the United States, has achieved stable disease at Jiahui International Cancer Center through ivonescimab, a novel PD‑1/VEGF bispecific immunotherapy currently available only in China.

Our multidisciplinary team provided seamless, international-standard care across oncology, neurology, and critical care for this complex case. This achievement underscores China’s growing innovation in oncology and JICC’s role as a trusted destination for international patients.

The patient’s daughter said, “We are deeply grateful for the dedication, compassion, and tireless efforts of the entire Jiahui team: the doctors, nurses, kitchen and cleaning staff, the international team and front desk, and the care aids. Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming a distinguished delegation from for an inspiring exchange on clinical excellence and innovation in cancer care.

The visiting delegation included Dr. Thianchai Bunnalai, Assistant Director of Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital, along with his team. They were warmly received by Dr. John Hsiang, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Jiahui Health, Dr. Linli Xuan, Chief of Medical Oncology, Dr. Jun Li, Chief of Surgery, Dr. Lihua Zhang, Section Head of Radiation Oncology, and members of Jiahui’s administrative and commercial leadership.

Beyond gaining a deeper understanding of Jiahui’s comprehensive service model, our discussions centered on clinical excellence in oncology — from surgical oncology to cutting-edge treatments such as CAR-T and the application of novel anti-cancer therapies in China.
Bangkok Cancer Hospital also shared insights into their strong expertise and extensive experience in oncology care.

Together, we explored meaningful synergies between our two international hospitals with a shared commitment to advancing medical knowledge, strengthening cross-border collaboration, and driving mutual growth.

Honoured to have hosted a high-level delegation from the Singapore Ministry of Health as part of the delegation’s five-day visit to China focused on digital health innovation and the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare.

The delegation was led by Mr. Ong Ye Kung , Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies, and included Mr. Peter Tan, Singapore’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Lai Wei Lin, Permanent Secretary (Policy & Development) of the Ministry of Health, along with senior officials and representatives from the ministry and related organisations.

The delegation was received by members of the hospital’s leadership team, including Dr. John Hsiang, Chairman of the Executive Committee; Ms. Hongyan Guan, Corporate Leader; Dr. Allen Wu, President of Shanghai Jiahui International Hospital; and Dr. James Chen, Vice President of Medical Affairs. Representatives from Jiahui’s IT, operations, finance, and strategy teams also participated in the exchange, reflecting a multidisciplinary and system-wide approach to healthcare innovation.

Jiahui shared its digital transformation journey, demonstrating how connected systems and AI-enabled workflows enhance patient safety, care quality, and operational efficiency. Discussions emphasized the collaborative model needed for clinical AI deployment, highlighting roles for clinicians, digital teams, and technology partners, and the importance of clinician feedback for iterative improvement. The delegation reviewed radiology AI use cases and completed a hospital tour.
