What important super foods to be included in our daily diet??

Our everyday meal can be very fancy or tailor-made, it will be totally based on the availability and f ingredients we have so we can choose the beat out of our available ingredients and make some great superfoods which will be rich in vitamins , minerals, probiotics and full of antioxidants.
These majorly include
1) nuts and seeds such as almonds, walnuts pistachios, chia and flax seeds l, pumpkin and sunflower seeds
2) seasonal and colourful foods such as orange in winters and mango in summers
3) green leafy veggies
4) fermented foods such as kefir, saurkrat, kimchi, kamboocha, idli dosa, curd buttermilk etc
5) whole grains and pulses such millets and whole Dals
Use different variety and try to mix and match as much as possible o meet your daily nutrient demand .. it's not difficult it's just a practice towards better health.

Fruits are definitely a Yes in diabetes! If your sugar level are between 100-180mg/dl you can enjoy 1-2 servings of of favorite fruits on a daily basis as a in between " snack " Fruits should be avoided during bedtime. All seasonal fruits can be eaten in moderation. Fruits not only provide fructose (carbs) but also a great source of minerals vitamins and fiber. It is advisable to have fruits as a whole and avoid fruit juices.

Hello All, apologies for the no new post from a long time but this year I promise to be on my toes to keep you all updated with all new facts about health, Nutrition and wellness.

TO start with this year I want all of you to make this one change in your daily routine. That is Eating your meals timely!! eating timely not only give you a sound health but also boost your immunity and helps you fight against infections such as COVID, seasonal flu's etc. Eating timely effects your metabolism in a positive way and also promotes weight loss and helps in managing diabetes and other metabolic disorders.

So, with this small tip of mine I request you all to manage your time and eat timely and avoid late night dinners and suppers.

Let’s beat the heat by following just few easy and accessible ways.

: of course drink lot of fluids.. to keep hydrated. Fluids include: lemonade without soda, coconut water, fruit and vegetable juices. Avoid areated drinks.

: Eat vegetables such as cucumber! Cucumber is the ‘hero vegetable’ of the season so use it in salads, in your yogurt preparations (raita) and in your sandwiches.

: Eat fruits like watermelon and musk melon.. it not provide you fullness and satiety but also loaded with water and phytonutrients which aids in preventing oxidation in our body.

: have yoghurt, buttermilk, raita and any other yoghurt based preparation to keep our stomach cool and promotes healthy digestion.

Enjoy summer, stay cool and keep hydrated and definitely enjoy mangoes and mango shake.

We often hear this one thing ‘ cheat diet’ what is it? Does it even exist? A BIG NO .. cheat diets are fad diets, it’s basically how you please yourself and your body with foods lwhich are calorie dense!

We don’t need cheat diet rather we should focus on “eating right.” With eating right I mean:

1) count your portion sizes for eg. have a slice of your favorite pizza to satisfy your brain hunger rather than whole pizza and then be guilty about having it.

2) learn to burn those extra calories because energy in= energy out = energy balance so walk an extra mile cycle an extra kilometere

3) stop torturing yourself. it’s your body you have to program it. Learn the ways to make your body workout and also pamper in the same way.

4) Have a good sleep, relax at times and take naps in between 2-3 hours of stretch full and stressful work.

5) Drink enough water and stay hydrated.

A health tip for this new year .. have all type of nuts including cashews as well.. they are the purest form of omega 3 fatty acids and other minerals.. add in your salads, shakes or can munch on as a snack by itself!
