What is it? HbA1c (glycated hemoglobin) reflects a patient's average blood sugar levels over the past 8-12 weeks—the typical lifespan of a red blood cell.
Why does it matter? High HbA1c indicates poor long-term glycemic control, significantly increasing the risk of serious complications such as: 👁️ Retinopathy | 🫘 Nephropathy | 🧠 Neuropathy
