The loss of such a special person as Giada leaves us helpless and with inconsolable pain. The only comfort we have is that she managed until the very end of her life, to live the way she wanted, to live as a truly free- spirit woman. She wasn’t the kind of person who would accept any compromises, she always chose for herself, she was strong- willed, passionate about life, passionate about people, the kind of person who loved deeply and who was deeply loved.
We’ve decided to create this fundraising page to give concrete support to Giada's family which at the moment is going through some great economic difficulties. Anyone can make, if they wish, a small contribution, even a symbolic one, so as to cover the expenses paid for the treatments she had to undergo through in recent months, and especially for the ones that Giada's family will have to face in the immediate future. In this way we can allow her brother to organize a funeral that can be simple yet as dignified as possible.
In compliance with Giada’s last wishes, no religious ceremony will take place, but cremation will be carried out with the dispersion of the ashes in nature. The funeral will be held next week. Thanks in advance to all those who have been close to Giada, and thanks to the ones of you who may want to lend us some support.
Giada nos dejó la mañana del 9 de diciembre, después de una larga lucha contra una enfermedad autoinmune que la afectó hace casi un año y que luchó con valentía sin rendirse nunca, como era típico de su espíritu guerrero, siempre manteniéndose en alto. su dignidad humana, pero tratando de encontrar aspectos positivos y aceptando los nuevos desafíos que esta cambiante y difícil condición le había presentado. Su familia y amigos más cercanos la acompañaron hasta el final, rodeándola de amor, globos de colores, coronas, Hello Kitty y dulces buenos para comer. Mantuvo su terquedad, su optimismo y su sonrisa hasta el final. Respecto a lo que él creyó y sus últimos deseos, no se llevará a cabo ninguna ceremonia religiosa, pero la cremación se realizará con la dispersión de las cenizas en la naturaleza. Giada vivió la vida que quería, persiguiendo la autenticidad y la belleza, ignorando patrones y etiquetas, prefiriendo estar en medio de las cosas en lugar de al borde de la vida, siempre tomando partido pero nunca juzgando a nadie. Luchó por sus sueños y su libertad, viviendo con la intensidad y plenitud que siempre la han distinguido. Agradecemos a todos los que ya han enviado mensajes de pésame y cercanía a la familia y compartimos con todos el dolor por la pérdida de una persona tan especial.
