Get a liposuction in Colombia. I am a plastic surgeon with great experience in liposuction. With my surgical team we operate in cities such as Bogota, Bucaramanga, Calir and Medellin.

Liposuction is a surgical procedure that uses a suction technique to remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms or neck. Liposuction also shapes (contours) these areas. Other names for liposuction include lipoplasty and body contouring.

Liposuction isn't typically considered an overall weight-loss method or a weight-loss alternative. If you're overweight, you're likely to lose more weight through diet and exercise or through bariatric procedures — such as gastric bypass surgery — than you would with liposuction.

You might be a candidate for liposuction if you have too much body fat in specific spots but otherwise have a stable body weight.

Why it's done
Liposuction is used to remove fat from areas of the body that haven't responded to diet and exercise, such as the:

Abdomen
Arms
Buttocks
Calves and ankles
Chest and back
Hips and thighs
Neck
In addition, liposuction is sometimes used for breast reduction.

When you gain weight, fat cells increase in size and volume. Liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in a specific area. The amount of fat removed depends on the appearance of the area and the volume of fat. The resulting contour changes are generally permanent — as long as your weight remains stable.

After liposuction, skin molds to the new contours of the treated areas. If you have good skin tone and elasticity, your skin is likely to appear smooth. If your skin is thin with poor elasticity, however, skin in treated areas might appear loose.

Liposuction doesn't improve cellulite dimpling or other skin surface irregularities. Likewise, liposuction doesn't remove stretch marks.

Liposuction isn't recommended for people who have conditions that could complicate surgery, including:

Restricted blood flow
Coronary artery disease
Diabetes
A weak immune system

What will the patient have to do during the recovery period?

The patient will have bandages and possibly drainage tubes. They will have the latter for at least 48 hours and will have to clean and care for the tubes. The patient should change their bandages and avoid getting their faces wet. The patient will also have to see the doctor the day after the procedure so he can make certain they will not have complications.

About 5 to 7 days after the operation, the patient will have their stitches taken out. While they should avoid strenuous exercise, the patient should still take light walks to stimulate blood flow and prevent blood clots.

The patient will have to sleep with their head elevated for the first two weeks after surgery. Until the doctor says otherwise, they should avoid pools, saunas and hot tubs. Similarly, they should not put on make-up until the doctor gives permission to do so.

What preparations will the patient have to make?

They will have to stop smoking at least two months before the procedure. Some medications and supplements may also cause complications or re**rd healing, and the patient will have to either work with their doctor to stop taking them or find acceptable substitutes. Examples include aspirin, Vitamin E and blood-thinners. Most patients should plan on taking one or two weeks off from work.

he Ideal Face Lift Candidate

Not everyone is a good candidate for a face lift. During your consultation, we will evaluate a few different factors to determine whether or not face lift surgery is right for you. Some of these factors include:

Loose skin – If you have excess skin on the face or neck, this can be trimmed and removed during a face lift.
Skin condition – Your facial skin must still be somewhat elastic in order to get good results from a face lift. Elasticity allows your skin to stretch in order to “lift” loose skin and smooth out deep wrinkles and folds.
Facial structure – It’s important to have a well-defined underlying bone structure in the face in order to support the delicate alterations that your face lift surgeon has made.
Overall health – You must be free of any major medical conditions and in strong general health before undergoing a face lift.

The facelift, or Rhytidectomy, is the third most common facial plastic surgery performed in the United States. As we age, crow’s feet become visible near our eyes. The near-invisible lines on the forehead become prominent, and the jawline sags. Some people experience the creation of a second chin beneath the chin. Unfortunately, we must all deal with these negative aspects of gravity and the wisdom that comes with age. However, choosing to get a facelift offers a boost in both appearance and self-esteem. We have the technology, it’s up to you to learn more and make the next step into a more youthful you.
