✨ The Five Principles of Reiki ✨
When you begin your Reiki practice, these are the five simple principles — the mantras we live by each day:
🕊️ Just for today, I will not be angry. I will be happy.
🕊️ Just for today, I will not worry. I will be at peace.
🕊️ Just for today, I will live honestly.
🕊️ Just for today, I will be grateful.
🕊️ Just for today, I will honor my parents, teachers, and elders.
Reiki is such a simple, yet powerful practice — a lifelong tool we can use every day for self-healing and balance. It has saved me and guided me back to my path many times. It reminds me that healing truly lives in our own hands.
Whenever I start to worry, I send Reiki to the situation and affirm the opposite — I am happy, I am at peace. If anger arises, I send Reiki to that energy or person to transform it. When I feel lack or scarcity, I return to gratitude — because there is always something to be thankful for. Gratitude shifts everything.
Living honestly means being impeccable with your word and choosing work that comes from love and passion — not just for money, but for alignment. Money and abundance are simply energy.
And finally, honoring and respecting our parents, teachers, and elders keeps us rooted in gratitude. I think of my teachers — in Watsu, Thai Massage, and Craniosacral — and my parents, and all the wisdom that’s been passed down.
These are simple yet powerful daily practices that keep me grounded and connected to Reiki energy.
