IV.34. Purusa-Artha-Sunyanam Gunanam
Pratiprasavah Kaivalyam
Sva-Rupa-Pratistha Va Citi-Sakteh Itl.

Kaivalyam is the state of enlightenment that follows the re-merging or reabsorption of the gunas (cosmic forces) back to their original source (prakriti, supreme nature), due to their having become devoid of any motive or purpose on behalf of the individual I-am. In this state, the individual purusha of I-am is established in its real nature, which is pure consciousness, awareness, Brahman, Absolute I-AM.

This sutras indicates three paths:

1. The path of chittam, path of psyche or mind
2. The path of I-AM (citti-shakti)
3. And the path combining them both.*

When the highest purpose of life is achieved the three basic qualities do not excite responses in the mind. That is freedom. In other words, the Perceiver is no longer colored by the mind.**

Jñanasya anantyat Jñeyam Alpam.

In the state of dharma-megha-samadhi, that which can be known through the relative mind becomes very little when compared with the cosmic mind and the infinite knowledge obtained in enlightenment, when all the veils, distortions and impurities are removed.*

When the mind is free from the clouds that prevent perception, all is known, there is nothing to known.**

Sarvatha Viveka-Khyateh

There arises a state of mind full of clarity concerning all things at all times. It is like a rainfall of pure clarity.**
