I think working remote and traveling is glamorized on social media

I lived the digital nomad life for a few years and honestly, what I didn’t see coming was how much I’d miss a sense of community & genuine connection

Hands down the most fulfilling part of what I do is the relationships I build along the way 🙏

Last night I had dinner with 2 companies I’ve worked with for the last few years

and I have worked together for 4 years now!! Which is wild haha, it’s been such a fun journey of building the brand to become one of the most known landscaping businesses in Winnipeg 😎

Shout out to Pat, Ben, & Tyler for the work they put in day in and day out, some of the best people I know! You’ve been committed for years to the process, always see the vision for what lies ahead and show up everyday to put in the work 🙌 I love what we’re building here

I’ve been working with now for 2 years and we have completely taken over the social media marketing game in the fence industry in Winnipeg 🙌

Antoine shout out to you brother, I’ve watched you grow your business over the years with such a commitment to quality and customer experience you have truly set the bar for what it means to be a professional. I’ve loved being on this journey with you bro!

If you’re a business owner, I think the Blue Sky City is where you need to be.

This place is special.

Like life changing special.

😎 The people. There are people here from all over the world doing cool things.

People that understand you & speak your language. They get it.

☕️ Entrepreneur events. There are entrepreneur events happening literally everyday of the week.

It’s been a game changer for meeting new people for me since I work from home.

Easy way to build connection and community.

🔥 Expansive energy. There’s something about Calgary… It’s got a vibe to it.

It’s inspiring and full of people who are building with their heart.

I came here for the mountains but I fell in love with the city and the people!

How do you find your people in Calgary?

I’ll be super honest with you, when I moved from Winnipeg to the Blue Sky City 4 years ago, I didn’t know anyone.

I had to figure out how I could connect with people here and build relationships.

That’s when I started researching networking events in Calgary.

I started showing up to different events and community meet ups, and things really started to click for me here.

I started meeting some awesome people.

People from all over the world doing cool things and building businesses too.

I realized…

Calgary is where my people are.

We’re all searching for the same thing: community, connection, and belonging.

It’s a big city with a small town feel.

Friendly faces. Open minds. People who actually want to connect.

Now, this place feels like home.

So if you’re new here, or just haven’t found your people yet…

My advice is to start showing up to community events.

There’s something happening here every day.

And I promise, your people are here too.

Got to have dinner last night with the dream team behind 😎

One of my favourite things about building my business over the years has been the people I’ve met along the journey 🙏

We’ve had tons of zoom calls talking business strategy, content, ads & everything in between but also built an amazing friendship over the past 2 years

I hosted my first creator & entrepreneur meet up in Calgary last night 😎

I hosted it at which is my favourite cafe in Calgary!

Honestly it went so much better than expected.

I know the journey of entrepreneurship can feel lonely and this event was all about bringing people together for community & connection 🙏

Awesome night with amazing people, good chats, and left with some new people to go for a coffee with! ☕️

I met Conrad 3 years ago at a networking event in Calgary… and today I got to see his new store 😎

He’s the founder of and when I first met him it was an e-commerce store and I got to watch him and his team open up his first store front and now his new one today!

It’s so cool to meet someone at a networking event years ago and get to watch their journey and business evolve 🙌

Wild to think this friendship wouldn’t exist if I didn’t show up to that event.
