What a year. 2025 brought waves that challenged us, courage we didn’t know we had, and connections that turned strangers into family 🌊💛 We watched fears melt into laughter, first rides into proud tears, and moments into lifelong memories. And bringing back our iconic Mother & Daughter Retreat reminded us that some experiences are bigger than travel — they’re about love, growth, and sharing something truly unforgettable together.

Surfing starts on land 😉🏄‍♀️

At PVA, ground school is where the real foundation is built. Before stepping into the ocean, we take the time to teach you the essentials on solid ground because confidence in the water starts with understanding on land.

During ground school, you’ll learn proper pop-up technique, body positioning, balance, and stance, all without the pressure of moving waves. We also break down how to read the ocean: understanding wave patterns, timing, and safety basics so you know what’s happening around you once you’re out there.

Why does this matter?
Because the ocean is dynamic and unpredictable. When your body already knows what to do, your mind can stay calm and focused. Instead of guessing or reacting in the moment, you move with intention. This means fewer wipeouts, better balance, faster progress, and a much more enjoyable experience overall 🌊✨

Ground school helps you build muscle memory, reduce fear, and feel empowered before you even paddle out. By the time you hit the water, you’re not starting from zero — you’re prepared, confident, and ready to ride.

A week of bliss shared with an intimate group of women, celebrating milestones, birthdays, and the friendships of a lifetime. 🤍

This week PVA became a meeting point where time slowed down and laughter becomes medicine. Most of the girls where life long friends that decides to take a trip together and as the universe works in wonderful ways. Our staff memebers also had life long friends visting so we had an Amazing time all together. We surf at sunset or sunrise, went to playa los artistas for a delicious lunch followed by scrubs next to the waterfall. Allowing us to feel at home and play like kids!

As life moves forward and responsibilities grow, we often leave less room for play, presence, and simple joy. Here, those moments are reclaimed. Days unfold gently, friendships are strengthened, and being fully yourself feels natural again.

Our NYE camps are always filled with joy, excitement and movement, where we say bye to a year and welcome the other Santa Teresa style. From starting the day with yoga and call waves to afternoon adventures and music and dancing all night.

This crew was special everyone from different backgrounds and lifestyles coming together as a family to celebrate and learn the magic world of surfing!
