Fun dolphin facts ahead for our 🐬

🦷 Dolphins have one set of teeth for their entire lives.

🐟 Their teeth aren’t used for chewing. Instead, they use them to grasp prey, then swallow it whole.

🔊Along with the jawbone, teeth help conduct sound waves to the inner ear, acting like receivers or antennae. This improves directional hearing, which is essential for echolocation and navigating underwater.

🗣Teeth also play a role in communication. Dolphins may rake their teeth across the body of another dolphin, leaving marks called rakes.

🐬 Dolphin Training: A Lifelong Journey 🐬

Animals have an incredible capacity to learn—experienced dolphins can master up to 200 different behaviors!
Training isn’t a one-time achievement; it’s a continuous process throughout a dolphin’s life. Trainers and dolphins at CDTC work together to build new skills and refine existing ones, keeping each session both physically engaging and mentally stimulating.
