Most vegans who want to lose weight aren’t overeating junkfood.

They’re overeating high-calorie “healthy” foods that make it almost impossible to stay in a calorie deficit while still eating enough protein.

This is one of the most common things I fix with my vegan clients and once they understand how to structure their meals, they finally:

✔️ stop feeling hungry
✔️ stop overeating nuts, oils, hummus and energy bars
✔️ get enough protein
✔️ see fat loss and more muscle

My favourite ones are either the peanut butter stuffed dates or the peanut butter sandwich, I’m just a peanut butter addict

WHY SNACK?
- Great if you’re someone who gets hungry between meals
- Can be utilized as your pre or post-workout nutrition
- If you have trouble gaining weight then high calorie snacks will help

HOW SHOULD A SNACK LOOK LIKE
- Consisting of protein, carbs and fats
- Focused on wholefoods Vs candy bars or pastries and cakes
- With enough calories so as to be aligned with your goals

OTHER SNACKS
- Oil-free pop corn
- Cooked edamame with salt
- Fruit with plant yogurt and nuts
- Protein bars

High protein vegan mac n’ cheese 🌱

For 3 portions:
250g red lentil pasta, dry
600g (3 medium) potatoes
2 carrots
1/2 onion
2 garlic cloves
50g cashews
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
Turmeric, black pepper, salt to taste
