As Christmas arrives, we feel the absence of those we’ve loved and lost, yet we also feel their presence in every quiet moment, in every cherished memory, and in the love they left behind. Though they may not be here to celebrate with us, their spirit lives on in the stories we tell and the hearts they’ve touched. This Christmas, we hold them close in our thoughts, and we send you warmth, comfort, and peace as you remember your own loved ones. May the beauty of the season remind us all that love never truly fades. From our family to yours, wishing you a Christmas filled with love, reflection, and lasting peace.
We send our deepest thoughts to you and your family, hoping you find peace in cherished memories and comfort in the love that endures. From all of us, we wish you a Christmas filled with warmth, reflection, and quiet joy.

With respect,
Agios Rafael Funeral Services

It’s hard to lose anyone, but it’s especially hard to lose a parent.
Unfortunately my DAD passed away today.

He was such an amazing man and he meant so much to us.
I know that losing my Dad is one of the hardest things I’ve ever have to go through, but I also know that I’m not alone. I know that there are other people out there who have lost loved ones and they know how I feel. I know that I can always talk to them about my dad and how much I miss him.

He was the best Dad I could have ever asked for and I know that I was lucky to have him in our life. And not only me. We are four brothers...

My parents were very giving, and taught us at a young age to put our life in perspective to the greater picture, and to help others whenever we can.

Even though he’s gone, I know he’s still with us in spirit and I know that I will see him again in eternity.
He has been ill for a while.
But he died peacefully, and we were able to spend time with him in his final days.

A loving father, a guiding light, forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.

We are blessed to live in a country which allows for religious freedom. And, when you work as a funeral director helping those who have lost loved ones to death, it’s a privilege to help even when those client families don’t believe as you do.
However, have you ever thought about those that don’t have your faith and wondered what are they looking forward to? In my Christian faith I’ve learned that death is not the end… it is the beginning of a new and glorious life to come.

As funeral directors we live our lives intermingled with those who are grieving. If Easter, which signifies the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is the most important day of the Christian calendar, then Christmas, the day of Christ’s birth is the close second.
So, to those of you on call and working Easter Sunday.
I know it is a bummer that you cannot spend the whole day with your family. However, know that what you are doing today on those calls is being the hands of Christ in your community.
Consider yourself lucky that you have the privilege to care for those in need… what could be more fulfilling.

Christ is Risen ! Have a Happy Easter!

December is always sentimental. It is a time when we look back at our year and recall the life events that have occurred, for better or worse. We remember things that have changed us, friendships that have helped us, and people who have left us. Christmas time is especially difficult when we have lost someone we love.

Christmas is a time for family and friends to come together but for those mourning the loss of a loved one it can be a particularly challenging time.
Today marks the beginning of the Christmas week. For many of us that means that we will be joyously reunited with family members we don’t get to see very often. However, for some families it will be the first Christmas with a loved one missing from the celebration. For them, it will be a difficult Christmas as there will be an empty chair at the table, around the fireplace, and around the Christmas tree. Over the years we are learning that most of what we do in caring for deaths is for the living. Helping survivors get back on the path to that new normalcy after the death of a loved one. And, as a funeral director I’ve learned that people do want to hear about their spouse, or their father, or their mother, or their children who have passed away. They never want them to be forgotten. Caretaking is what funeral directors do and there is no reason to stop caring simply because the body has been cremated or buried and the bill has been paid. Take my challenge and call a family a day this week just to tell them you are thinking of them and the loved one they will miss this holiday season. The results may be worth it.

Our wish to you this Christmas season is that you may find peace and joy amidst your grief. We hope that you can experience a pleasant holiday despite your loss, that you can comfortably memorialize your loved one, and that you may find unexpected light this holiday season.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! May your days be filled with joy and peace!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Ukrainian people every day, but there is hope.
Hope that this war will be over and a new life will begin one day.

My heartfelt best wishes are with you all.
Good luck! And God bless you !
