👁️ Clear Vision. Gentle Technology.

As our doctors begin another week of surgeries, we understand that patients may naturally have questions or feel anxious about upcoming procedures. If you’ve been told you need cataract surgery, it’s normal to feel nervous or have questions. Many patients worry about pain, safety, or how quickly they’ll recover.

At our clinic, we understand these concerns and providing clear information and maintaining open communication are always priorities for our team, as we believe this helps patients feel comfortable, informed, and reassured.

✨ LenSx Laser Cataract Surgery

At Pantheo Eye Center, we use LenSx laser-assisted cataract surgery. LenSx uses advanced laser technology to assist your surgeon in key steps of cataract surgery with exceptional accuracy.

✨ How it Helps During Cataract Surgery

During cataract surgery, the natural cloudy lens is removed and replaced with a clear artificial lens.

The LenSx system can assist with several parts of the preparation:

🔬 Detailed imaging of the eye
Before the laser works, it scans the eye using advanced imaging. This allows the surgeon to plan the procedure based on the individual patient’s anatomy.

⚙️ Precise opening of the lens capsule
The cataract sits inside a very thin membrane called the capsule. The laser can create a perfectly circular opening in this membrane with extremely high precision.

💠 Softening the cataract lens
The laser can gently fragment or soften the cataract before removal. This often means the surgeon needs less ultrasound energy during the next step of the surgery.

👁️ Highly controlled micro-incisions
The laser can also create tiny corneal incisions that allow the surgeon to access the cataract.

💡 Benefits of LenSx Technology

• Greater surgical precision
• Reduced use of manual instruments
• Customised treatment for your eye
• Gentle, computer-guided laser technology
• Potential for faster visual recovery

Your vision matters, your comfort matters and we’re here to help every step of the way.

Today, for the upcoming Women’s Day this weekend, we proudly celebrate the remarkable women who are part of our team.

From our caretakers, to our nurses, to our administration team, each plays an essential role in creating the supportive, compassionate environment we strive to provide for our patients every day.

To mark the occasion, we took a fun moment together to share a small gesture of appreciation, with a "Lucky Dip" of gifts and a sweet treat, as a way of thanking the women who contribute so much to our clinic and our community.

We are grateful for their dedication, professionalism, and the care they bring to their work each day.

Happy International Women’s Day.

🧿 Proud moment for the Pantheo Eye Center team.

We are honored to share that Dr. Maria Drousiotou, ophthalmologist at Pantheo Eye Center, has travelled to Kenya to support the mission of Sophia for Children, offering her expertise to children in need and providing essential eye care in communities with limited access to medical services.

This mission began in the Kibera slum and will conclude at the Makarios Orphanage, where children with vision problems are being examined and supported with the care they urgently need.

Through this initiative, children will receive eye drops, prescription glasses, and, where necessary, sunglasses - a vital intervention that can significantly improve both quality of life and long-term development.

Importantly, among those being examined are refugee children with albinism, for whom eye protection and vision support are especially critical.

Dr. Drousiotou is joined on this mission by an inspiring team of specialists united by service, compassion, and purpose.

At Pantheo Eye Center, we believe that medicine extends beyond the walls of our clinics. As doctors, we carry a responsibility not only to treat, but also to serve - especially when our skills can make a meaningful difference for vulnerable communities.

Missions like this reflect the values at the heart of healthcare: compassion, solidarity, and a commitment to improving lives.

We are immensely proud of Dr. Drousiotou for her professionalism, dedication, and humanity - and for reminding us all of the impact that medical support can have when it reaches those who need it most.

WHAT WE OFFER?

The PANTHEO Eye Center was founded in 2004 and has been operating purely as an eye clinic in Limassol since then. The cornerstone of the philosophy at the PANTHEO is the personalized approach towards the patient by a team of ophthalmologists in different sub specialties and the provision of a legeartis care in simple and complicated ophthalmic cases. It is no coincidence that the PANTHEO is a center of referral cases from all over Cyprus.

The team of PANTHEO has as its goal the best possible provision of high-quality and integrated services covering the entire spectrum of eye diseases at the level of that equivalent of the major European ophthalmological centers.
