Beyond the Diagnosis 💫

When fear turns into trust and pain becomes strength.
Elena, a breast cancer patient, came to Cyprus for treatment — far from home, without knowing the language — but she found doctors who never gave up and nurses who spoke to her heart in every language.

With the support of our International Patient Department, she felt cared for every step of the way — not just medically, but humanly.

💗 Dr. Eleni Demetriou is a general surgeon devoted to breast surgery.
She studied medicine in Greece and completed advanced training at the Essen Mitte Clinic (Germany) under the guidance of Professor Kümmel, one of Europe’s leading breast cancer specialists.

👩‍⚕️ Dr. Demetriou is a member of the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO), a consultant at the German Oncology Center, and an inspiring example of a modern woman in medicine — combining knowledge, precision, and compassion.

Today, they are once again working together at GMI, in Cyprus — alongside other outstanding specialists who share the same dedication and vision: to save lives, restore confidence, and empower women.
