Balance yoga is an organic way of training and sustaining a healthy body and mind drawing from different yoga techniques, somatic methods and breathing exercises. Yoga-Fusion: beginner friendly, this class incorporates several yoga techniques with a series of postures and breathing exercises offering a dynamic, challenging program that combines strength, flow and spirituality. Yoga heals, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind with emphasis on movement, balance and intention. Groovy Kids Yoga and Dance classes for children. Every Kid is Groovy! Children learn, grow, increase focus, concentration, strength and balance by moving. In this fun movement session, with professional dancer and choreographer, Erica Charalambous, children will explore the magical world of dance, theatre and movement games through engaging their senses and sharpening their movement skills. They will learn basic yoga postures, as well as fun, short routines indoors and outdoors inspired by local myths and the natural elements of the island! Ages: 4- 8 years old and 9-12 years old
Duration: 1 hour

Yoga -Basic: This is a gentle yoga class which focuses on each individual’s needs and abilities. We will practice simple breathing exercises, balancing postures, a set of basic hip openers and backbends that will strengthen and stretch the upper body, the legs, back, and shoulders. We will include different types of yoga (Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga) that make our practice safe and comfortable, so that we can be stress free and well balanced! Short biography:
Erica Charalambous, born in Paphos, Cyprus, 1980 continues her research in the multifaceted world of dance and pedagogy as a dancer, teacher and choreographer, “so much to learn, so little time”. After receiving her Diploma in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance teaching in Greece, she continued her studies with a post graduate degree MA Contemporary Dance Teaching in Germany and has collected years of experience in performance and production management in Europe and Cyprus. She has worked with and taken seminars with well-known choreographers and professional dancers such as: a.o. Peter Mason (Royal Ballet), Laurence Souc (Paris Conservatory), Yuval Pick (Batscheva dance company and The Guests dance company Israel/France), Dieter Heitkamp (HfMDK Germany), Trude Cone (SNDO-Holland) and Kurt Koegel (Germany, Korea, US). Her collaboration with many professional dancers and choreographers has inspired her teaching and choreographic practice which she facilitates in a non-hierarchical environment through social exchange within a group context and a one-on-one method for personal performance coaching. She motivates her creativity by being curious and practicing art in everyday life.
