Koroner anjiyografi, kalbi besleyen koroner damarların görüntülenmesini sağlayan tanısal ve gerektiğinde tedaviye olanak veren girişimsel bir işlemdir. Bu işlem ile kalp damarlarında darlık, tıkanıklık veya yapısal bozukluklar ayrıntılı olarak değerlendirilmektedir.
İşlem Nasıl Yapılır?
Koroner anjiyografi genellikle el bileği veya kasık bölgesindeki bir atardamardan girilerek yapılır. Damar içine ince bir kateter yerleştirilir ve koroner damarlara kontrast (boya) madde verilerek X-ışınları yardımıyla görüntüleme yapılır. İşlem süresi ortalama 20–30 dakikadır.

Biopsychosocial approach in medicine considers not only the biological aspects of disease, but also the social and psychological interactions behind illness and how they affect individuals’ susceptibility as well as response to it. What this means is, ilnness is not a biological phenomenon. It involves a complex interplay of many interactions resulting in a unique manifestation in each individual.
Understanding uniqueness of each individual helps us understand how they respond to disease and how they would like to deal with it. It is not our role to decide for them! However, understanding uniqueness generates a much higher power of knowledge that can guide diagnosis and treatment options in a personalized manner.
