Two years ago you left the plane of earth. You celebrated your 6th, 7th and 8th birthday in a hospital's room. Actually your 7th birthday was celebrated in Vienna at home in between treatments. You were always very particular about the things you liked, the things you wanted.

"Mom, I want the best birthday cake from the best confectionery in Vienna. I don't want it fancy, I just want it to taste good!" and you blew those candles with such strength and joy as if you knew...

When you left.. my world changed...society tells you that grief is a season..but grief is forever...
One day before you left you asked me to lie in bed with you, to hug and just watch a movie...."don't talk much mom, we said it all", stay quiet and love me is what you wanted to say but you never did...

I am missing you more every day...
but I am LIVING ALL the things you taught me how to and hoping that my heart will be whole again.

And unfortunately, it’s when women feel most vulnerable.
