About the Workshop
Ashtanga Yoga is a breath-led practice — where the breath guides the movement, and the movement emerges from the body’s strength and alignment.
In this two-hour workshop, we’ll explore how to combine breath, body, and movement to build a solid foundation for your Ashtanga practice.
We’ll move through Sun Salutations A & B and elements of the standing sequence, which together form the foundation — and a complete practice in themselves.
This session is suitable for all levels. Modifications will be offered to support each student’s individual progress.
Follow-up Mysore self-practice classes will be available for those interested in continuing to develop their personal practice.
(Usually held 7:00–9:00 am and a led class in the evening)
About Rebecca
Rebecca Zambetakis has been a dedicated yoga practitioner and teacher since 2004.
Originally trained in Hatha Yoga (two 200-hour programs covering practice, philosophy, physiology/alignment, and meditation), she later deepened her studies with a 300-hour Ashtanga Yoga training in 2012.
Her Ashtanga journey began under senior teacher Michel Besnard, and she continues to learn through intensives and online studies with David Garrigues.
Rebecca combines the Ashtanga Primary and Second Series with thoughtful modifications to help students progress safely and effectively.
