Our lovely patient was referred to us with a fractured upper canine, and the endodontist advised that it had to be extracted. As seen on the CBCT scan, there was a periapical lesion. The inflammation was chronic rather than acute, so we proceeded with an immediate implant placement.

A semilunar incision was performed apically to remove the granulomatous tissue, followed by placement of an allograft and a collagen membrane, with no crestal incision.

Two months post-surgery, the beautiful prosthetic restoration was completed by Dr. Froso Achniotou. 🦷😁
