Taking care of compression stockings correctly

Good care is decisive: for the right pressure, the durability and your skin. Especially with lymphedema and lipedema there is a noticeable difference.

Short explanation why:
• Pressure remains → less wear caused by sweat and skin oils
• Lasts longer → usually reliable for 6 months
• Better skin compatibility → less irritation & infection

How to do it right:
• Wash daily, even after short wearing periods
• Clean gently, 30–40 °C hand-wash or gentle cycle, mild detergent and no fabric softener
• Air dry
• No dryer or heater, air dry only
• Please do not wring them out after washing

Practical hints:
• Alternate between wearing two pairs
• Use a dressing aid
• Do your skincare after wearing them, rather than before
