The MRS are experiencing some IT issues today, this is an island wide problem.

Our phone lines will ring through but we are unable to hear, we cannot call out to mobile numbers, only Military extensions.

This has been logged as a major incident.

We understand your frustration with the IT, please be assured we have staff working to get this rectified as soon as possible.

The 112 system is still working.

Thank you for your understanding.

‼️ IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

19/07/2021

‼️ IMPORTANT NOTICE ‼️

All BFC/SBA patients attending appointments or being admitted to the YPC now need to show their safe-passes before gaining entry to the facility.

Safe Pass evidence required:

🔵 Double-Vaccinated (+3 weeks post second dose) – Vaccine Certificate (either print out from NHS App or card issued at vaccination).

🔵 Single-dose or unvaccinated – Negative Rapid Test (LFD) within 72 hour window prior to appointment.

With immediate effect, YPC will now charge individuals for all PCR and Rapid tests processed by them (PCR = approx. €55, LFD = approx. €20). BFC will not fund the costs of pre-admission/appointment tests for planned admissions and appointments.

BFC/SBAA patients are to be strongly encouraged to arrange for testing at the ATS prior to their planned appointment/admission to avoid unnecessary payment. Patients who attend routine, planned appointments/admissions at the YPC without Safe Pass evidence must be prepared to pay for a PCR or Rapid Test.

If an urgent or emergency admission and patients are admitted via the YPC Emergency Dept, costs for pre-admission testing will be borne by BFC.

Please do NOT go to the ATS (Zulu Club) for a LFT/PCR if you are symptomatic or have been informed that you’re a close contact of a positive COVID-19 case. The ATS is for travel swabbing only!

‼️ IMPORTANT COVID ISOLATION MESSAGE ‼️

There is an emerging trend of patients not contacting the MRS when suffering potential COVID-19 symptoms. This is unacceptable and puts fellow members of the ESBA community and their families at risk.

If you are suffering from any of the symptoms listed on the WHO poster below you and your family must isolate and contact the MRS immediately for further advice. MRS Tel - ‭+357 24 744512‬.

If you are advised to stay isolated and have a COVID-19 PCR test, this is often only for 24-48 hours whilst we get your swab result back. In many cases symptoms can be linked to an alternate diagnosis and therefore, upon receipt of a negative swab result, you and your family will be released from isolation. In some cases, a longer isolation period may be require (when there is no alternate diagnosis and COVID-19 can not be ruled out).

We MUST adopt a culture where it is acceptable to take time off work/school for isolation purposes in order to protect the health and outputs of the ESBA.

We are all in this together! 🌈

🔵 A new and continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).

🔵 A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot.

🔵 Shortness of breath.

🔵 Headache, muscle aches, flu-like symptoms – we currently have a higher number of positive cases and so these symptoms must also be considered. This additional instruction will remain in place until further notice.
