Mindful.nest CZ Supporting mental health and well-being of young people and youth workers. We work mainly through Erasmus+ programme which co-funds our projects.

We offer workshops for schools & youth organizations and also international Erasmus+ projects. Mindful.nest CZ is a non-govenmental organization born out of a desire to create safe space for young people to explore and experience different opportunities and tools for improving their wellbeing and mental health. Our aim is to promote a conscious and sustainable way of living by creating context that supports people in becoming aware of their thoughts, emotions, and patterns and deepening their connection to themselves, other people, and the nature around. Bringing together the wisdom of the mind, body and soul, we use a somatic approach that combines the elements of meditation, mindfulness, and body movement. Our vision is to contribute to creating a more kind, mindful, loving and sustainable world.

🖤 Everyone has thoughts they’re not proud of sometimes.
Judgmental, selfish, even dark ones.
It doesn’t make you a bad person.
It makes you human.
What matters is what you do with those thoughts. Which ones you act on and which ones you let pass.

Taking care of your mental health can be achieved through small, daily steps. Here are three ideas to start with:

1️⃣ Reconnect with a loved one: Take 5 minutes to call a friend or family member you haven’t seen in a while. Arrange a meeting or simply chat to catch up and share. Social connection can lift your mood and make you feel grounded. 📞💛

2️⃣ Start your day without your phone: On the weekend, try waking up without immediately reaching for your phone. Instead, take a few moments to notice how your body feels, make your favorite beverage and enjoy a mindful breakfast. Give yourself the gift of an hour with no screens to connect with yourself. 🌞☕

3️⃣ Ask yourself what you truly want: When you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, pause and ask yourself, “What do I really want to do right now?”. Whether it’s taking a walk, reading a book, or simply resting, honor your needs. 💛✨

Remember, small steps like these can make a big difference! Try one or all three, and let us know how you feel.

We often treat emotions like unwanted guests, trying to keep them out at all costs. 🚪

But here’s the truth: the more you push them away, the louder they knock. And if you try to ignore them, they don’t vanish - they just hide and wait, ready to surprise you with even greater intensity.

Mindfulness teaches us to welcome both pleasant and unpleasant emotions without being swept away by them. You don’t have to suppress or drown in them - you can simply let them move through, leaving you lighter and calmer, without carrying that emotional weight. 🌬️

We’re so happy to see our work travel beyond the project space and into the business sector, where emotional awareness and regulation are deeply needed. 🤍

A beautiful workshop was organised as part of the Portuguese dissemination activity for Closer to Myself project, introducing simple techniques to recognize and gently regulate our emotions.

So much of our day is driven by “I have to” or “I should.”

I have to answer those emails. I should go to the gym. I should clean the kitchen.

And even when we’re not doing them, they sit in the back of our mind - weighing us down, stealing the joy from whatever we are actually doing.

As part of the training course Mindfully together, a group of participants chose to go to the streets of Bansko, Bulgaria, to spread kindness through free hugs. On the square and main streets, they were standing with the 'Free hugs' signed. And they were surprised how many people came to get one! 💛
