The main topics are

• mass spectrometry in tandem with liquid or gas chromatography,
• microscopic measurements including phase con- trast and fluorescence microscopy. An integral part is the description of the actual measuring process in terms of measurement the- ory, representations of the fundamental attributes of measurement, and data formats.
