Had an excellent time at the Czech Championships of Masters swimming this weekend in Česka Lípa. Awesome people, a well-run swim meet, and wonderful camaraderie among all the swimmers. I swam five individual events and two relays for my new team Took gold in my age group for all individual events, 3rd overall in the 200m and 100m freestyle, and a new Czech record in the 200m freestyle with a time of 2:14.29. Once again it was clear I need to work on my starts and turns😂
That was the last swim meet of the season. Now it's time to focus on the winter swim races!💪❄️🥶

Loved spending quality time with awesome friends and family in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont earlier this month. No better place to recharge and recalibrate!

Had a great time at the Most lake swimming in the Hydroman 5km race yesterday! We had perfect conditions for an open water race. Huge shout out to for organizing this first annual event! The rain clouds in the photos did not burst until just after the awards ceremony 😂🙏
Am already looking forward to next year👍🏊‍♂️

Had probably my last cold race of the season yesterday in Prague and it was chilly! Water temp was just over 5 degrees, but the sun was shining🌞. I swam the longest race of the the day, the 750m free, and took it easy. I wanted to make sure I could finish comfortably and without the cold stripping away all my energy. And it worked! I felt great and had power through the end.
I am already looking forward to next season!💪🧊🏊‍♂️

The Ice Swimming World Championships ended last Saturday and I finished with a surprise Gold Medal in the 50m free in my age group! A great way to finish an epic swim meet!💪🏊‍♂️🧊
The next World Championships will be in two years in France near Mont Blanc. After I finally warm up I will begin the training!😄

Today was my best event in Molveno, the 100m free. Water was just above 1 degree but the sun was shining! I swam well and took Gold!🥇The hard (and cold) training has paid off!💪🙏

Just finished the first of five days of the races in Molveno. Swam the 500m free and got a new personal best! I shaved 10 seconds off last year's time. My body is adapting better to the cold. Tomorrow is the 250 free, a better race for me overall and I have a chance at the podium!
